Hey someone send me some pics of myself standing on the corner. I thought I would share them here.



It was awesome. I had such a great response. I had 4 people who were stopped at the intersection ask for my card. I had many horns honked at me. I stood there for 1 1/2 hours. Some people told me where I might find good employment opportunities. Some enterprising Realtor vendors gave me their cards. I was a very great experience. I will be at he corner of 1604/281 at 3pm today. I will post my experiences here and also inform you of where I will be tomorrow

Okay the day has finally come I got my sign. I am going to do this. I showed it to some folks in my office with mixed response. some comments were "good idea" and "your crazy" those two responses from the same sign tells me I am on to something Do you love a challenge ? I do. Are you a thrill seeker? I am I just need a good mortgage person to stand on the corner with me holding their sign kinda a play on words saying NEED MONEY with a question mark of course. If you are reading this thnking what the heck is this guy rambling on about then you missed my first blog. I am going to do what ever it takes to be a successful Realtor. I am going to be holding a sign on various street corners in san antono. I am not going to stop holding the sign until I realize my goal. Today 1/12/2009 I will be at 281/bitters on the valero side please comment if you see me....I mean here....don't hang out the window and yell get a job dumb #$$ because I got one...

I was wondering if anyone personally uses this concept. I read something and it made me think GREAT IDEA but then it also made me think with all the ego's out there who who do it
here goes.....
Instead of letting a listing go that you have had a hard time with sellers or they won't price it right or for some reason you know they won't renew. Why not introduce them to another Agent someone with a different style different ideas etc....for a referral fee of course. at least you can re-coop some of the long hours and advertising you did. Refer another Agent what a concept. don't throw those listings away call me I will Handle it and give you a 20% referral......
I will be waiting for the offers to start flowing in...LOL

Don't you hate that. I post heavily on craigslist etc.. in the broker area not the by owner area. I always run across these ads that sound just like the type of ad a Realtor would write and they always seem to end with NO REALTORS PLEASE ! I think wow this guy really must hate Realtors. I then usually call (if they are not on the DNC of course) and find out it is a Realtor on the other end. Do you really think as a Realtor you can pretend to be a For Sale by Owner and people will think they are getting a better deal. The truth is the only people calling for sale by owners right now are investors who think these people will give their home away to them because obviously they don't know too much about Real Estate. The other people calling FSBO's are Realtors and statistically only 3% of Realtors are doing it when 70% of FSBO's end up listing with an agent. Can you say wow a whole new market ! Not so fast...Did I mention FSBO's hate your guts. Well at least the first three times you call then they start to listen. Just go to owners.com and read their forums. They are crying out for help many of their post end with we finally listed and sold our house but we still hate Realtors (what they hate is the fee). You can't convince someone of your value sometimes until they try to do what you do and realize it's alot of work !
