After months of trying to generate new business standing on the corner with the sign, Placing Ads all over and working long hours...I came to the revelation that I still am not making enough headway to justify paying fees etc...I recently looked into a company that does Apartment Locating on top of that you can still be a buyers and listing Agent. I took a look at their totals board and saw what the working agents were making. I was surprised and I thought about people who can't Buy or don't want to in this tough economic time. I also thought of all the military and college kids in San Antonio and decided there are a heck of a lot of people renting Apartments. I am going to give it my best shot and see if I can be successful at it. I loved working at RE/MAX but it has been a struggle this last year and I think a change will be good for me.

Ever had one of those days...The kind where you feel like you give give an give and people take take and take more. I had a transaction close on Friday it funded Monday morning. I am still waiting on my check. I asked the manager if I could have my check he (I thought Jokingly) said"no". I said ok..I would like my check please he said he would get to it. I waited around through a hour meeting then hug round the office another hour but still no check. I think he was trying to irritate me...not sure his motives anyway I decided to leave and go home verses do something I would regret later...I am Irish and it is St. Patricks day...maybe I am looking for trouble..lol anyway its not that I needed the money it's just the principal of the thing. I just don't know if I can jump through the ego hoops every time I make a sale. I sent this email to him.....
I will be in the office in the morning. I hope you will be able to get me the check by then. I am not quite sure what the delay is but if I don't receive my check by tomorrow I will speak to xxxx about it.

Ok politics aside whats your favorite RE/MAX commercial ? Which one would you rather not see again ? I am curious. I see all sorts of comments on twitter and a few have been pointed out to me here on AR. I like the one where the people realize they missed an opportunity to buy in a buyers market and take to kicking themselves.
Remember this listing I got from standing on the street corner...My new listing Video...
Tell me what you think. This house is listed at 47,000. It has fire damage on the inside. I had a showing within two minutes of posting on MLS. COOL...
Well it sold in 30 days. I am so happy for my clients. True the did not get what they were asking but they were happy with what they got. I marketed their home non-stop on the Internet and the end result was a completed sale. A big thanks to the Buyers agent .....

She was so nice and I hope you have a chance to work with her in the future!

I took a break from standing on the corner of 281/Bitters on Monday. It is spring break for my 14 year old son. We decided instead of driving to the coast or going out of state we would help stimulate our local economy. I must preface this story with another....When I was at the corner last Thursday I think it was a Gentleman stopped his car across the street from where I was standing. He motioned for me to come over and I did. He handed me his business card and asked me to call him in 30 minutes. I said ok and he drove off. Well the Gentleman was the CEO-Chairman of Drury Hotels. I met with him later and it seemed he thought I was looking for employment. This man was such a nice guy for trying to help me out. A very down to earth person showing compassion to his fellow man. I was so impressed by his concern for me that I decided right then and there I would always be a Drury Hotel customer when traveling in the US...Now for the story...We decided instead of leaving our local economy high and dry we would stay at the Drury downtown San Antonio. It was fabulous...with its very nice heated pool on the rooftop which is the highest such pool in the city...the wonderful sparkling hot Jacuzzi the very luxurious rooms. This hotel used to be the historic Alamo Bank Building. We went to the Riverwalk and had a great time. We went to Alamo Plaza at went to Ripley's and the wax museum. We rode the horse drawn carriage. We had such a great time and my son had some great memories. We can't wait to return to the Drury and I hope you will do the same !
