Well I am still standing on my little corner in San Antonio,Tx. I still get calls from people and website traffic. So far I have only been fortunate to convert TWO of the prospects to listings. I am not discouraged though because many times I have handed out my card to people this week and they look at it then look at me and say "hey I know you, Your the guy who stands on the corner". It reminds me of when I recognize someone on a local TV commercial...your the guy who says"I really will save you money" comes to mind (sorry thats from Houston but the guy migrated here) anyhow a man rolled down his window and told me today what I was doing was working. He said he sees me on the corner regularly and sees my AGENTBOWMAN.COM Vehicle all over town. I still have high hopes that the seeds I sow today will grow into a beautiful business.
On a side note to all of you who follow my blog. Bob the newspaper guy got a new bike (used) He put money down on a layaway plan and finally paid it off. He is very happy because it has variable speeds and is not as hard on him during those long bike rides to the corner every morning. Go Bob Go.

I was checking my email this morning when a Facebook invite,Linkedin invite and an email from my website popped up all at once. I immediately recognized the name Chris Aldrich. Chris attended American Community School with me in Athens Greece. We had some wild times I tell you. As American kids living in Greece we took full advantage of the situation. I remember once Chris and a bunch of our friends went on spring break to an Island we started out with money in our pockets, sunny weather and not a care in the world.Someone had the bright idea to rent motorcycles and away we went....Chris drove his off the side of a mountain(sounds worse than it was) but it totaled the bike. The shop that rented the bikes to us said if we didn't give them all our money they would contact the police. We ended up sneaking into a beach resort and sleeping in a cabana freezing half to death and eating peanuts they left at the bar....Sounds terrible I am sure but you know what that was the time of my life...go figure...anyway I found out Chris also works for RE/MAX in Oregon...It is a small world after all
Way back in October I had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas for the weekend with my Broker and her husband. Well the first night there I won 600.00 on a slot machine. The second day there I won two progressive Jackpots 1st one 1823.00 then 5 mins later 1800.00 on the third day I won 800.00. Isn't Vegas fun. Well what happened in Vegas didn't stay in Vegas my wife dragged me kicking and screaming to the airport. I wanted to stay and become a big time professional gambler.
I was standing on my corner today starring at the American Flag waving over the gas station. It made me think about the great opportunities I have had in my life in America and other free market systems where I have lived. I have the freedom of free speech and free expression. I can stand on that corner and hold my little sign and talk to people and give my card to them when asked. The newspaper hawker (seller) Bob who wakes at 4am and rides his bike about 12 miles to stand on that busy corner and make enough to buyjust what he needs. He has that freedom probably more freedom than you or I. He lives on the fringes of society nobody expecting to much from him nobody scrutinizing his movements.He comes and goes into our lives as he pleases with no apologies. Bob is a great guy and standing next to him every morning I have learned things about him. He cares...I mean really cares..He asks me every morning about the leads I picked up from the previous day. He is concerned about people always commenting about his customers He knows alot of them by name. Next time you see one of these guy's selling newspapers on the corner I hope you will think to yourself...That's right buddy KEEP ON ROCKING IN THE FREE WORLD.

Richard Bowman was the agent we hired to sell our home. Renters had just moved out, and we had bought a new home a few months prior. We were going to have 2 house payments, so we wanted to sell our old house quickly. We had tried to sell the house ourselves, but didn't have any luck. After a month of trying ourselves, we needed professional help. The day we met with Richard, he took pictures and video of our home. Within a day, he had a video of our home on U-tube, a colored flyer in the tube on the sign in front of the house, and had listed it on Craig's list. Richard worked very hard to sell our home.
