This is a cautionary tale. My wife and I purchased a LG fridge 5/14/07. We have had no problems with the unit until one day last week. I woke up at 530am and made my way to the fridge for my morning coffee (diet coke). As I approached the unit I smelled plastic burning I even felt heat from the front of the doors. I couldn't imagine what it was. When I opened the doors I saw the light at the top of the unit sagging down. I immediately saw what had happened the light had come on during the night when the doors were closed. It melted the entire top of the inside of the unit. Of course I disconnected the lights and started my research on the Internet. It seems LG fridge's have a problem with a motherboard that causes the fridge to operate all the time and the light may or may not go off. I have contacted LG and they have extended my expired warranty and will be sending a technician to fix the thing will all new parts and a new improved motherboard. You may want to check any vacant listing you have and if it is an LG unplug it just in case.

Well what do you know ? Once again I am standing on the corner of Bitters and Hwy 281. It was cold this morning and I was wearing my motorcycle gloves. I think I looked a bit like Darth Vader. Anyway this guy in a van was looking at me but he didn't indicate any interest in my sign....So I kept walking. Well the light turned green and the guy who was two lanes over in the van I just mentioned started honking like crazy and yelled "Here Dude !" and threw a folded paper out the window. I'm thinking great a new client ! well with all the traffic that little piece of paper went flying into the intersection and was gone. I thought dang the luck. I continued holding the sign getting waves and thumbs up from the folks who see me every morning....but still the piece of paper haunted my thoughts. Could it be this guy had a beautiful piece of property for me to sell or maybe he wanted to buy a 400,000 home. I decided I had been freezing long enough and went to leave. As I was driving off I noticed the piece of paper lying on the side of the road in the grass. My heart soared. I retrieved the paper and opened it up........Dear reader it was an invitation to.....Come be Filled....Healed....and Delivered at the faith outreach center.......For the second time someone saw the sign and a guy on the corner and didn't read the sign and thought your humble street Realtor was homeless and needed to come meet JESUS !
BTW my good friend San Antonio's Rockstar Real Estate Agent Matt Stigliano of Exit Realty North-San Antonio Finally saw me again He honked the horn and waved in support. I had my sign in the down position Matt because when there is a green light I decided it's best not to distract the drivers.

That's a line from a R.E.M song but you know it describes how I feel today. I was standing on the corner holding my sign when a guy drives up, Rolls down his window and happily Say's " I saw you yesterday but didn't get a good look at your sign,I thought is said something like IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD." I said isn't it? We both had a chuckle and I gave him my card and invited him to read my blog. I hope you don't take this statement in a negative way. It should be a positive we can not continue doing business as usual we must find new marketing techniques....We must let people know they can still qualify for home loans....We must let sellers know they can still find buyers for their houses. This time of economic uncertainty will pass, but things will never go back to the way it was. You need to change the way you do business. It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

I just saw the world news tonight. They said Home Depot,Caterpillar,GM and more were laying off up to 40,000 people. I tell you I don't see the end of this economic crisis anytime soon. Most of you know I am an upbeat guy with a go get them attitude but I am also a Realist. We need to stop walking around like this is not affecting us. I don't know what we need to do as Americans be we need to do something fast. Maybe a letter campaign to our congressmen.....what do you think
