Tell Me Who Do You Love - who do you want to help - and let's make it happen

I read a post from another agent on Active Rain, and decided on a new idea. I encourage you to share your "causes", so that maybe I can help spread the message to as many people as I can - paying it forward if you will. Here is the post that I asked Charlene Sandoval to cut and paste into my blog: who knows, maybe it will make a difference:

I am asking for a very simple favor with no cost involved, other than a few moments of your time. Hailey Schweinberg is an amazing little girl. She lost her brother 7 years ago to his congenital heart defects. The family started the Jason Schweinberg Memorial Classic in order to raise money to purchase AED's for schools and to grant kids and families with a wish. Hailey started making beaded bookmarks and cell phone charms as her way to raise money and awareness of Congenital Heart Defects. She has been an great volunteer with the CHD Awareness Quilt Project. Her mom, Cathy, recently created a website for the Classic. Hailey would like to see 1000 people visit the website by the day of the Classic, which is Sept. 13th. I am asking that you take a moment to visit the site and help Hailey reach her goal. http://memorialclassic.homestead.com I have included Cathy's message below.

Thank you for clicking!!

I am sending a request from my 10 year old, Hailey. For those of you that have met Hailey you all know very well how passionate she is in spreading CHD awareness. She talks about Jason and tells everyone she meets about chd's. She also makes bookmarks and cell phone charms and sells them at the golf outing and the annual quilt show...which she donates 100% to the CHD Quilt Project. Hailey has been doing this since the age of 6. She has a goal for 1,000 people to view the golf website before our golf outing. I told her that is a high goal since the outing is on September 13th and maybe to strive for 500 people..LOL...especially since it is around 400 now. So Hailey has requested that I tell everyone I know to view the website and to pass it on so that she can reach her goal of 1,000 people. I think she is my future philanthropist!! LOL Here is the website http://memorialclassic.homestead.com Thanks for all your help, heart hugs,

Feel free to share some more - you never know who might be reading. Thanks for the nice words regarding the kidney stone too - urologist on Friday but no pain today: I even went to the gym. I'm hoping to bike ride after a meeting in the Napa area tomorrow.

From Kidney Stones to Easter Seals

I woke up this morning at 2:00 AM with the most excruciating pain I have ever had, and thought my appendix must have gone bad. I tried to gut it out, but ended up going to the emergency room at 2:30. I told the admitting nurse my diagnosis, and waited for what seemed like a week (it was a half hour).

The Doctor came in and said, I think you have kidney stones. I had a cat scan, and some good drugs for the pain - and then a little more drugs. The doctor confirmed he was the better diagnostician, since it wasn't my appendix - a 4MM kidney stone. As I sat there and waited to go home, I heard the person next to me being told that he has congestive heart failure and would have to be admitted: I felt pretty selfish.

A little while later the pain was gone, and I got a chance to do a little work. I had reached out to a woman in Monterey who supported Easter Seals, Mary Aguilar, and she informed me that she had joined Agentspayingforward.com today - I loved that. My neighbor came over, and she works for Crossroads Treatment Center in Citrus Heights CA. Layney joined tonight as well. Take a look at the site crossroadstreatmentcenter.org (they are also on Agentspayingforward.com), because they help troubled teenage girls. They are also having a golf tournament at Northridge Country Club here in the Sacramento area. I told Layney I would spread the word, and would love to see them get participants from this blog.

Anyway, the day is coming to a close, some more pain medication, and then I find out Easter Seals decided to join my site: it's a great feeling to know that maybe I can help a lot of people by starting Agentspayingforward.com - I really hope so.
