Number of new listings taken was 103 (last week was 97) Number of homes that went under contract/option contract was 170 YES THAT IS RIGHT - AMAZING ( up from last week of 55) Number of homes that went to closing 52 (last week was 69) THIS WEEK WAS THE #1 WEEK OF THE YEAR IN NUMBER OF UNDER CONTRACT/OPTION CONTRACT . Each week I compile the number of residential single family properties that are newly listed, under contract, and sold in the College Station area.
When I first started doing this, I wondered if people would really read them...the answer is definitely yes.
I can tell by my statistics pages how many hits and clicks I get on each one. I get at least 200 and up to 500 people viewing my weekly market update blog.
This weekly update is good for the public, other realtors, and myself. It gives home owners in our area an idea of what's really happening in our area. It gives other realtors an easy way to see what the market is doing. And....it helps me by reminding me each week that College Station is doing well in real estate.
Report #18 - for week of April 26 through May 3, 2008: Each week I provide this information about the activity in the Bryan/College Station area compiled from information from our local multiple listing service. I have not verified the information so they are approximate. These total are ONLY for SINGLE FAMILY RESALE HOMES. Number of new listings taken was 97 (up from 85 last week) Number of homes that went under contract/option contract was 55 (down from last week) Number of homes that went to closing 69 (up from 58 last week)- GREAT Number of closings. Sellers are getting money in their pockets and buyers have become homeowners. This is an excellent report.
