Tropical Storm Fay was all the active rain I needed this weekend and for weeks to come. Actually I feel "blessed" as they like to say with no more damage than to learn that my back porch roof has 2 active leaks in it.
At my house we got 18 plus inches of rain from Friday morning until Sunday morning. I say plus, because on Saturday morning our 5" rain gauge was overflowing, so we're not real sure what amount we received Friday, except over 5".
Still I have neighbors flooded, carpets out on the curb, some insulation so you know the damage was in the walls, many without power from Friday until today and then others with trees through their roofs, unable to return home until re-construction is complete.
I've been in Tallahassee for 19 years and have never seen this much rain this quick. There is talk of another storm in the carribean. Let's hope the blessings continue for more than just me.
While Tallahassee hasn't experienced the foreclosure rate as the rest of Florida, we have our share of them and short sales.
To help homeowners understand short sales, preserve their credit and avoid foreclosure and to help buyers understand the specifics of purchasing foreclosed properties, I am conducting a seminar on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Keller Williams Realty office at 1520 Killearn Center Blvd. here in Tallahassee.
Interested individuals can call me at 850-321-4666 to register or inquire for more information.
