The local politicians around these parts like to speak about how they have "Development pay for Development." But, an article in the local paper about Chelan County's budget woes makes it look like development pays for far more than development.

We've got quite the selection of usually very rare properties at Lake Chelan right now. I ran a search on waterfront properties, the rarest usually, on Lake Chelan. The result was 50 properties under $1 million!

These properties are all classified in the Chelan Co-Brokers' system as residential, but include at the least expensive properties condominium boat slips at Harris Marina. There are actual Lake Chelan beachfront homes starting in the $700,000s. There are some stunning Lake Chelan community waterfront homes for even less.

Here is my Lake Chelan Residential Sales Report May 2009. So far, sales volume is HALF of last year's in transactions and 2009 is only 43% of 2008 by dollar volume! But, summer is here so it is time to get busy in Lake Chelan Real Estate.

Try Microsoft's new Search Experience, Bing

I like Bing because I have two sites in the top 10 for "chelan real estate." I also rank right up there for "chelan homes for sale." Unfortunately, that's better than I do on google, so I think I will recommend Bing!

Beyond that it is pretty slick! It lists search results in the same way we're all used to, but it when you mouse over the right side of a result, it brings up more information about the site. It has maps and image searches too. COOL!

It also lets you do RSS feeds of search results. I'm sure there will be some clever uses of that.

No blue screens or crashes when I tried it. Give it a go!
