When a representative of active rain called me on my cell to recruit me into active rain { rainmaker } I was skeptical ...as always.

He was quite informative, had a pleasant manner about him and wanted me to take part in a special promotional offer.

I see now that all he wanted was my credit card info.

I asked this Rainmaker who will remain anonymous if whether or not my blogs will be in the top 5 rankings in googles search engine under the search terms " Maple Ridge Real Estate " and I was very clear about what I was asking.

He assured me that if I followed the steps taught by steven Graham that they would be in the top 5 on the first page under those search terms...and went on to say that it would take only one day.

Today was my first day at active rain university and frustrated at having tried to reach my goal on my own I asked Steven Graham if it was possible.

I was told "no"

Honesty is the cornerstone to any good relationship

and this relationship has been founded on deceit

I hardly think that my relationship with the active rain administration and founding members will flourish since I was mislead ino joining.

Thank-you for wasting my time

ps { after having compared where my active rain blogs rank against my wordpress blogs, it is apparent that my wordpress blogs having the same content are ranking much higher in the google search engine than the active rain blogs...and word press is 100% free....so why stay with active rain ? and pay $ 70.00 a month ?}

At last the time has come The United States of America tastes Justice !!!! Obama just announced that american forces have taken Osama bin Laden !!!! Although he was not taken alive nevertheless the people of the United States can take comfort in knowing that there Govt would not rest !

Tonight is a night of celebration for it is time that the evil tyrant bin laden meets his maker !!! And let the one TRUE god cast judgement upon him.

Chills ran through my body as I listened to Obama's speech and tears of joy welled up in my eyes

I believe in the spirit, and the world can work in magical mysterious wondrous ways. God speaks to us all and being a self proclaimed animal rights activist, I look to listen to Gods work with the animals.

I felt that i had been wronged when Death came to my door and took the best friend I ever had and now have realized it.

When my boy Brutus died the last words I whispered in his ears were

"wait for me boy"

and so when he passed into the seperate realm he, as always obeyed me.

Time passed

and still he waited.

He would not be dissuaded and soon he worried, I would not come. Knowing that I could not find him...

He begged God.

God Knew that the only way was, to undue what had been done and said so.

And so I waited.

with seven new born puppies !

A fitting end to a terrible day, after a brutal start today over the BC Residential Multiple Listing Service the brutal day became a bitter sweet surprise.

REALTORS® work on sunday and when I had finished today I wanted to quit but I thought to myself...no, I promised myself I would die first and, I keep my promises.

So I packed myself up and headed up to Mr. Halleys to pak some wood. You see ol Brian just had a triple hernia operation and I have been helping him on n off to get through it ...he is a single guy and lives by himself just up the road from me.

To my surprise his recovery was coming along well but his spirits weren't so good ... " what s the matter Briney? " I asked. Turns out Dr Dave Hawkins died...Executive Director Association of Canadian Medical Colleges, Ottawa CANADA and, appointed the dean of medicine at Memorial University http://www.iime.org/committee/hawkins.htm... a good man , a great doctor and me friends cousin...not a good day atall.

So anyway to make a long story short or a short tale tall when I got home tonight a surprise met me at the doorway which brought back such sad sad memories I broke down and cried tears of joy.

A short time ago a Man stopped by my house and asked for my help...he was looking for a place to keep his camper trailer so he could commute quicker back and forth to work. He was a little dirty, big and sort of had an imposing look to him.

" hold on" I said "let me ask me mum" Mom the good sport she is agreed that he could park it next to me cabin at the north end of her acreage but that he would need to pay his share for the utilities and so, the other day he settled in.

You see this man had some dogs and well mine died... my dear old Brutus died on me right in the middle of my very first ever Real Estate transaction and not only was i distraught and destitute with depression the whole tragedy had drained me dry of any money, I was broke in debt, in very poor health, my dog had died and here i was once again searching for listings trying to pay my debts in real estate fees.

AND when I came in through the front door tonight, geuss what I saw !.... a beautiful female rotti called baby ! she was spending the night ! She reminded me of my old buddy Brutus and all the bitter memories of his death struck me again but in a different way...you see Baby is pregnant

and puppies are the kind of medicine I could really use right now

It never ceases to amaze me the lack of compassion people have for others. As a REALTOR® I see this everyday. People hang up the phone on me, or slam their door in my face, or call me at home to complain about getting an E-mail from me asking for their business.

This is probably because of two reasons (a) there are a lot of really bad REALTORS® out there and (b) the public thinks that we are all millionaires.

What the public doesn't know is that there are those of us who are genuinely good at what we do and by that I mean we put your best interest ahead of our own, and that very same public is usually unaware of the high cost of just being licensed !

Imagine having to pay your boss $1500.00 per month in various fees just for working in his office ! So please dont be offended if we ask for your business...we have to.

Its funny though how the publics attitude towards REALTORS® can shift in a hearbeat. For e.g when a client needs to sell their house because of a divorce or they simply cant pay their mortgage anymore due to the bad economy, and the bank is getting ready to foreclose, and they believe that they are in financial ruin, but low and behold at the very last minute their REALTOR® saves the day by finding a buyer prepared to buy their home AND ! for more than Market value.

Thus saving them from financial ruin...I have seen it happen, more than once.

Its funny how when you don't need us we are seen as sharks...but when you do...we are regarded as heroes so...
