Big Creek West Mobile Alabama

Big Creek West Mobile Alabama

Today I went to camp KOMA , located on Big Creek in west mobile alabama. This property is for sale and the owner is about to start drilling a well. Using a homemade contraption,I am planning on making a video of the water well drilling process. The video will be posted when completed.

At the Sand Bar on Big Creek today the water was abot 50 degrees, and the was clear as glass. I could not believe the sand bar had changed that much since Juner of this year. Every time tghe water gets up high and goes back down to about 3 foot deep, the sand bar shifts. Big Creek in north west Mobile is the water source for mobile alabama residence.

Pascagoula Historic homes

Pascagoula Historic homes

In this mornings edition of the Mississippi Press, I read that the remains of two historic homes in the Pascagoula Historic district will survive the demolition. Wahoo!

One of these homes date back to 1840, and the other somewhere around 1890-1910. It appears they have been nominated to be on the top 10 most endangered historic places, and ranked number five in the state. This may just keep them from being demolished due to the new city waterfront development under construction on the Pascagoula River.

I for one, would love to see these historic Pascagoula homes turned into a bed & breakfast, or a restaurant so the locals and visitors could experience the History of Pascagoula.
