I've been so busy I forgot the weekly update yesterday.
The Lockport Lightning U10 Girls play very well Sunday morning (7am - that reminds me I need to go talk to the person who made the schedule) The girls beat the Niagara U10 Girls. With the win the Lockport Lightning remain in a solid 2nd place in the standings. Good work girls.
The Lockport Thunder U10 Boys just continued overpowering teams. The opponent U10 Clarence team played hard, but just didn't have the skill level to match the Lockport boys. The win keeps the Lockport Thunder in 2nd place and sets up the first of two showdowns against the first place team. Sunday's game should be an exciting game. The Lockport Boys are at the top of the list in the division with goals scored and have only given up 4 goals against all winter. The first place team has only given up 2 goals during the winter season and this Sunday will be the place to be and enjoy two very good soccer teams go at it.
Until next week...

Ok, I've asked this question many times in my market and now I'm tossing this survey out to everyone in this community.
What is or would be the perfect home inspector?
There isn't an incorrect answer. This isn't going to be difficult, but when were done we'll create a list of the good, the bad, and the ugly. You might be surprised what some inspectors are doing and begin to wonder why your inspector isn't doing or providing you with the same level of service/product.
This will be a learning experience for everyone. Remember, we all survive from referrals and please don't underestimate what a good or bad inspector/inspection can do to your future referrals.
Here's the ground rules - list three or more good things your inspector does and list three or more bad things you dislike about inspectors. I'll even start everyone off - here's the question again - What is or would be the perfect home inspector?
Good:
Bad:
Now, if you are compelled to say home inspectors are "deal killers", that's Ok, but as my good friend Russ Colliau, from Roseville, CA says - we are "Transaction Assassins - doesn't that sound much better?" Ok, you can use that one!

Scouting hit our home over the past few years and my wife and I have had the pleasure of watching and assisting our son Andrew work hard while earning his ranks and badges during this time as a Cub Scout.
The last few weeks have been the pinnacle of Andrew's hard work in Cub Scouts. It started many months ago when he earned his Bobcat and later working his way towards being a Weblos I & II. Hard work and dedication and remaining on track paid off for Andrew.
Three weeks ago Andrew was awarded the Super Achiever Award. This is presented to scouts that have earned all 20 Weblos badges. Andrew worked with many people while earning all of these badges and he learned a great deal about life, the environment and himself while doing so.

I think the two awards that his mother and I are most proud of were recently presented to Andrew. On February 8th - Scout Sunday, Andrew was awarded his Parvuli Dei. This is a religious emblem to recognize Webelos Scouts for advancement in religious knowledge and spiritual formation and a greater awareness of God's presence in his daily life, especially within his home and community. This is his religious award and this award can be worn on his Boy Scout uniform when he makes
his cross over later this month.

The next achievement Andrew earned was just last night.

Andrew with presented with The Arrow of Light Award. This is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn and this award along with the Parvuli Dei can be proudly displayed on his Boy Scout uniform when he crosses over later this month.
Andrew learned to balance his time, of course with a little help from his mom, he knew what his goals were and he knew there was a plan designed for him to achieve his goals. He was able to balance his time being a 10 year old boy who loves playing baseball and soccer, keeping his school studies at a 4 level or higher and just being a young boy playing with friends.
I not sure what the future holds for Andrew, but I can say is he'll be prepared for whatever he decides to do. He has learned that goal setting is important and having a plan to achieve his goals is a blueprint to success. Not bad for a 10 year old - Great job son.
