Boaters can use the Lake Wawasee's southeastern shore's free public boat ramp or the boat ramps of several local marinas on both lakes. If you don't own your own craft, local marinas also rent fishing and pontoon boats and jet skis. Lake Wawasee's two yacht clubs sponsor a variety of regattas that punctuate the lake with brightly-colored sail boats. Access from Lake Wawasee to Syracuse Lake is available through the main channel making your transition from one to the other as smooth as the lakes' tranquil surfaces. Both Lake Wawasee and Lake Syracuse are famous for their variety and fish and fauna. Fishers relish the chance to pull in bluegill, largemouth bass, yellow perch, banded killfish, brown bullhead, green sunfish and many more.
