FARM DAYS! MAPLE SUGARING
The Sullivan Farm, operated by the New Milford Youth Agency, is having an open Sugar House on March 14 & March 15, 2009. Sullivan Farm is a fully operational farm, including seasonal produce and maple sugar production.
The Open Sugar House runs from 10 am to 4 pm. Come and learn the history of maple syrup beginning with colonial times thru the present day. They will show you how to make syrup the old fashioned way, and show you how to make maple candy.
Come by, taste the maple syrup and enjoy! Admission is free.

Took this the other day here in New Milford, CT.
Nope, they are sculptures!
What a beautiful day it was today! After farm chores, and before I took clients out I took the dog and the camera and took pictures of my favorite places. You can just see some green starting, and the multiflora rose branches have a red hue to them. Soon we will have buds and flowers. As you can see, I love barns.

Here in the north-western corner of Connecticut home staging has not caught on. I am not sure why though. Every time I mention that I am a realtor, people start talking about all those shows on TV about getting your home ready to sell. They LOVE those shows. Isn't it amazing how different the before and after is, or comment how quickly the house sold after it was staged.
Now I don't know about you, but for my money I would want to get those same results if I was selling my home. I would want to sell quickly and for the most money I could get, especially in this market. Yet not one person I know of here has hired a qualified professional to stage their home.
Why? I am not sure. People in other parts of Connecticut are doing it, and seeing results! Don't believe me? Why not? You believe the TV shows.
Enough said?
