museum sponsors art exhibits, gallery walks, natural history, and fund-raising events. The building was
built in the late 1800's and it's incredible inside and out!! I personally love all of the old buildings and
homes in Bellingham. If you haven't seen the Whatcom Museum you HAVE to go check it out!!

I have lived in Bellingham, Washington for over a year now!! Im still blown away by how beautiful the area is and how much there is to do for FREE. All of you Bellingham lifers really don't understand how lucky you are!! I have met some Bellingham lifers and they asked me: "Why would you move here?, theres nothing to do." If you are one of these Bellingham lifers that is walking around feeling sorry for yourself because "theres nothing to do!" Do me a favor next time you get a chance take a couple days and drive out to Gillette, Wyoming. Look for something to do why your there, or HEY do me another favor look for a tree, or a lake!! If you don't die from bordom why your there come home and enjoy all Bellingham has to offer. Just for starters right here in town we have TONS of stuff to do and places to go!! We have: Whatcom Falls Park (THE COOLEST PARK I HAVE EVER SEEN!!), Lake Whatcom, Bellingham's Skate Park, Bellingham's Bays, Whatcom Museum, Local Music, Mt. Baker Theatre, Bellis Fair Mall,...honestly I could go on forever!!! Yet you Bellingham lifers have the nerve to say "theres nothinggh to do". And all of that is right in town not to mention all there is to do less than 2 hours away. We have Seattle, Canada, Mt. Baker, Deception Pass, Birch Bay & All the islands!! So all you Bellingham lifers next time your sitting around wishing there was something to do, WAKE UP!! Get off your couch and go outside and do something!!

My story starts off in the town of Gillette, Wyoming. This is where I grew up and spent most of my life. It is a little town of no more than 30,000 people. As soon as I graduated I knew I had to get out of town! As I counted the days down I started thinking of where I would move to. I had always liked the sound of Seattle. Until a co-worker of mine told me all about Bellingham, "It has it all: Mountains, Lakes, Bays, Beautiful Sunsets..." Thats really all it took and I was sold on it. I was determined to make out to Beautiful Bellingham Washington! Finally I graduated and started putting in the hours, saving as much money as I could! As soon as I had enough money saved, and a place to stay out west my dog and I hit the road. Where I have LOVED living ever since. If you are not from the area you truly don't know what you're missing. I could go on for days but to see and experience everything Bellingham, and the pacific northwest has to offer you will just have to come see it for yourself. Mappy (my dog) and I have never been happier! Bellingham fits me perfectly. My hobbies include: playing disk golf, going to the park with my girlfriend and dog, camping, snowboarding, riding four wheelers, anything and everthing on the water, pretty much anything outdoors I love!!! Luckily I can do all of these things and much, much, more right here in Bellingham, Washington. When I'm not doing all the things I love to do outside I enjoy spending time with my family, girlfriend and her family, friends, and of course Mappy!!
