NORTHWEST ARKANSAS is the place to make your next home! This is a long write up, but worth the read if yiou want to know about the area. We have ranked several times in the Milliken's Poll in the Top 10 "Places to Retire" and " Raise a Family". Everyday can be a vacation in our region due to the abundant natural resources, lakes and nearby tourist attractions in EUREKA SPRINGS, AR and BRANSON, MO. Beaver Lake is located in ROGERS, AR and is only 35 minutes from FAYETTEVILLE, AR (Home of the University of ARKANSAS and the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Walton Arts Center) Go Pig Sooooie.....We also host one of the Nation's 2nd largest motorcycle rallies, BIKES, BLUES and BBQ. Another famous event is the WAR EAGLE CRAFT FAIR that usually takes place the second week in October. Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville are the major cities with adjoing towns being Centeron, Siloam Springs (Home of John Brown University), Lowell, Highfill (XNA Airport), Farmington, Prairie Grove and Lincoln, to name a few. The unique citiscape, some melding of the communities and towns because of the growth, make this area feel like a mini-metroplex but with a country feel. Convenient to everything you desire or need. What has sustained our growth is accessibility and it's location. XNA Highfill Airport offers flights with daily departure with major airlines such as American Airlines, Delta and Continental. The region has experienced tremendous growth because of the Arkansas Highway Department's major highway connectivity projects. Interstate I-540, which connects our region's major trade and businesses, has been a major contributing factor to connect the area's growth. Northwest Arkansas is home to some of the world's largest companies such as Wal-mart (BENTONVILLE), JB Hunt Trucking (LOWELL) and Tyson Foods (SPRINGDALE). Fayetteville is only 45-50 minutes through the beautiful hills and the scenic drive through the Bobby Hopper Tunnel to our southern neighbor, FORT SMITH and only 40 minutes to our northern neighbor, BELLA VISTA. You can still drive the scenic "Pig Trail" through Highway 71, through the hills and windy passes with overlooks, but I personally love the new I-540 Highway. Other major highways are Hwy 412, 45 and 16. You can get in your car and be in Tulsa, OK (TULSA ZOO) in an hour and a half or only two hours to Branson, MO (SILVER DOLLAR CITY) and ski on Table Rock Lake (BRANSON LANDING). Our Region welcomes our new Minor League Baseball team, The Arkansas Naturals, to their new stadium in Springdale, AR. If you are a lake, golf or outdoor enthusiast you will love the area's lakes, parks and National Forests. BELLA VISTA is a master-planned community on the Missouri boder and is a popular place for retirees and golfers. Bella Vista is a convenient 10 minutes to Bentonville and 15 minutes to Rogers. Families are also finding BELLA VISTA to be an affordable place to find a home and live among the numerous parks and lakes the area boasts. Some of the larger communities in Bella Vista are Highland Park, Lake Lomond, Lake Ann and many others. Adjoining neighbor, PEA RIDGE, is a National Landmark because of the Civil War Battles. It is a great tourist stop for the history buff in your family.

It is obvious why thia area is on the top lists of places to live due to the industry, retirement, recreation, beauty, quality of merchants, retail, affordability and hospitals. Some of the well known doctors live in the area and work at our area hospitals. The main hospitals that service our region include Washington Regional (FAYETTEVILLE), The Veteran's Hospital (FAYETTEVILLE), Northwest Hospital (SPRINGDALE) and Mercy, the newest hospital in ROGERS. I have lived in the area since 1997-98. I am originally from the Houston/Woodlands/Lake Conroe area and have to admit I do love it here. The weather and natural beauty are a few top reasons why I have not moved back to Texas. It is also been a "family friendly" place to raise my children.
