Chronicles of War Korea - Tonight November 8, 2010. Hear the first person accounts as three of Woburn's veterans of the Korean War recount their experiences on the front lines. Thanks to the Woburn Historical Society for providing this information!

"This Plasma Films production commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Korean conflict by highlighting the experiences of three Woburn veterans: Cpl. Robert F. Cannon, Cpl. Fred C. Brown, Jr, and Cpl. Angelo J. Piazza, all serving with the 1st Marine Division. Sometimes referred to as the "forgotten war", this program will help all of us to always remember Woburn's sons and daughters who served, especially the seven who never returned."

The featured veterans will be on hand after the program to meet the audience.

Innitou Photo is located in Woburn, MA on the shores Horn Pond. Gerry was born and raised in Woburn, and has lived for over 35 years on these same shores of Horn Pond with her husband and two daughters. She is a self-taught naturalist and an accomplished, award winning nature photographer, specializing in the 'Nature of Horn Pond' and many other conservation areas in Woburn. Having lived at Horn Pond for all these years, she knows every nook and cranny of the Pond and the surrounding conservation area ans as well as where and when to catch the best shots of scenery, wildlife and wildflowers.

The 2010 North Suburban YMCA Gala will be Friday November 5, 2010. The gala will be held at the Winchester Country Club from 6:00-9:00pm.

The North Suburban YMCA Gala will include a silent auction and food/ wine paring. Tickets for the event are $50. All proceeds from the event will benefit the annual Reach out Campaign.

The Annual Woburn Halloween Parade happens to fall on Halloween Day. On Sunday, October 31, 2010 Woburn shuts down Main St for its 56th Annual Halloween Parade!

This event, hosted by the Woburn Lions Club, "draws in excess of 80,000 people a year, hosting over 25 bands such as the University of New Hampshire, Mass Maritime, Waltham American Legion and many New England High Schools and local community bands. More that 90 floats from local groups & organizations make this a true family event."

The Woburn Halloween Paradestarts at 1pm but seasoned parade goers know that you have to arrive early to reserve your spot along the route. Some parade enthusiasts mark their spot by setting up chairs the night before.

RE/MAX Leading Edge and myself will be hosting an open house on Halloween Day for all parade attenders to pop in and get some free hot mulled cider, candy and refreshements.
