Benefits of hiking

I have always been a big fan of hiking and over the years when I find that I do not have time to take time out to enjoy nature, clear my mind and go on a hike whether it be 30 minutes to an hour I start to feel the stress rising. Hiking is merely walking on a foot path, whether on a neighborhood trail that runs along the river or a more adventurous trail to a mountain ridge or just around your neighborhood.

Hiking can be a great way to escape the monotony of the gym and get a heart-pumping workout.

There are many benefits of hiking. The most common benefits are:

  • Weight loss.
  • Decrease in blood pressure.
  • Helps prevent osteoporosis by improving bone density.
  • Relieves back pain.

So instead of sitting in front of the tv go for a hike.. You'll notice the difference!
