This years Sparta Veterans day parade was clear and sunny Sky's. The streets where lined with several Sparta residents paying tribute to our Veterans - local, afar, present and past.
Some of the many parade participants - local military, ROTC, White county high school band and students, Sparta humane society, Sparta and surrounding area fire and police departments, antique cars and residents.
Thank you to all Veterans who helped and continue to help keep our country free and safe. You are and will always be appreciated.

As the park is only a short drive this is a monthly hiking adventure that always seems to have something new to experience with each season. The main waterfall lined trail is 1.5 miles which includes several area's to stop and take in bluffs, streams, soaring birds, wooden bridges, rock formations and all the splendid surrounding nature.
When in Tennessee or if you are a resident - I highly recommend Burgess Falls State Park. Burgess Falls location and further information.
(Merlot obviously wanted to play in the water instead of pose for another photo!)
