Hi all! Do you or someone you know need cheap moving boxes...? Then read on!
I met a pretty enterprising lady yesterday - her name is Kim Bolt. She has a company called, "Think Outside the Box". She collects boxes from companies - paper ream boxes, shipping boxes, etc - and re-sells them for $.50 each, any size, for people who need moving or storage boxes. BRILLIANT! Here's all the benefits to working with her:
*Reduces the cost of trash pick-up for the companies
*Reuses paper products - reduces landfill amounts
*Provides boxes that were used only once to consumers for WAY less than they can buy elsewhere
*Puts a little money in Kim's pocket
Kim runs business out of her home in S Scottsdale - put her info in your files and save a tree! (or 2).
We are moving to Arcadia, and were scanning craigslist for free or cheap boxes when we found her - using the boxes now, and feeling good about getting them cheap, and reusing a natural resource!

I was discussing an install project in Tempe at Northshore with an agent this morning, and she was 
shocked that I was able to get the quality of furnishings I did, install the decor, and keep it affordable. The answer? NETWORKING and RELATIONSHIPS!
Argent Decor has a resale license, and therefore access to many items at or near wholesale. This allows Argent to furnish Phoenix-area homes and condos at an affordable rate - many times, it costs less to use our professional services than it would for a homeowner to purchase the items themselves! For less out-of-pocket, they also get the benefit of our years of knowledge and accreditation. Plus, they won't have to drive all over town shopping around, or wait on multiple deliveries.
Some of our wholesale accounts are with Tres Amigos and Coaster Furniture. We also have "Trade" accounts with Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, Painted With Oil, and The Great Indoors. "Trade" accounts allow Argent to purchase products at a discount. While we obtain items from many different sources and may not use pieces from all of the above vendors in EVERY install, it does make it easier when a custom project is contracted, or to get a feel for what the homeowner likes/dislikes. I also find myself stocking up my personal home, since the discounts are good! ;)
