I spent time on my mission statement 2011. I feel serving my buyers and sellers with genuine care and concern is my mission because it is so important to me that their needs and wants are met with the best possible results.

I followed up on several website leads. Sometimes telling people from the midwest the temperature here makes me feel naughty, not nice--but oh well--it is beautiful here this time of year.

December 23

I showed a home to a buyer who has been looking for the Gilbert AZ home that would be perfect for her family. We have been working together for awhile and we are sure the first part of 2011 will be move in time for them.

I did a pop-by to a client who has given me several referrals in 2010. It was great to see what they have done to their home this year and to let them know how much I appreciate them thinking of me when they know someone who is buying or selling.

Day 20 CALL ME OLD FASHION I have been improving my systems to deal with things like new prospects in a timely way and keep track of my contacts with them. It seems no matter how much I do online, I always need to have something in writing, as well. Call me old fashion! What isn't old fashion is the quick response time needed for capturing the buyers and sellers who have so many online opportunities to get the information they want.

I mailed branded calendars to past clients, friends and family. Just making sure everyone remembers what I do.

Day 21 Even though I often work from my home office, I have been spending most of my time the last several weeks in the office. It is helping me to keep from getting distracted and has gotten me some extra leads.

Today I spoke to a couple from northern Arizona who are moving to Queen Creek and mailed information to someone interested in purchasing in north Phoenix.

Aaron Warner a staff member at Active Rain called me today. It was great talking to him and afterward I looked up his blog. I had been missing some really beneficial posts. Active Rain -is there no end to your pouring down wisdom for me?

December 19 I am still tweaking my business plan. As I was taking a walk around the lake at Freestone Park, I reminded myself that part of keeping my business strong in 2011 is staying healthy. Part of my business plan will now include treating doing the things I love doing that keep both my mind and body healthy as priorities-not something I do when I have time.

Freestone Park in Gilbert AZ is only one of the many walking opportunities enjoyed by Gilbert residence.

So in 2011

Day 17 of the 31 Days of December Challenge:

I took office calls this morning and talked to several different people who were interested in purchasing homes. I will be meeting with one Saturday morning.

I spoke with an elderly woman who wants me to mail her some information. She doesn't have a computer and found our phone number in the Homes and Land Magazine. She isn't prepared to meet with me personally and prefers to learn more via mail. I prepared a packet of information about the purchasing process, my brokerage and myself to mail her.

I met an out of state investor to view several homes and then wrote an offer. It is a good offer and the only one so he should get an acceptance.

I worked on some of the systems I am putting in place for 2011. As my business grows I am time blocking to ensure I am making time for prospecting everyday and developing systems for following up and tracking leads.

I am looking forward to an awesome 2011.

December 12 I held an open house in Dreamland Villa, a 55+ retirement community in Mesa AZ. People stopped by who have lived in Dreamland Villa for 10 or 15 years and love the community. They enjoy the golf course, community pool, walks and bicycling. One fisherman talked about the ease at getting to the nearby lakes. I also talked to several visitors from out of state who are planning moving to Mesa AZ or purchasing a winter home here.

December 13 Monday's American Allstar Realty office meeting was extremely inspirational as our Director of Agent Development spoke on ideas to implement to make 2011 outstanding. Thank you American Allstar and Nikki for all the support you give us agents.

December 14 Today was a feel good day as I met a new client from Tera Haute Indiana who found me online. (Thank you Active Rain for all you have done to assist me in increasing my online presence! I seriously couldn't have done it without you!) We viewed several homes and will be making an offer tomorrow for his home purchase in Gilbert AZ.

A FANtastic Gilbert AZ home
