Trilogy by Shea homes announced a new online survey for 55+ home buyers nationwide. The builder of active adult retirement communities in Peoria AZ and Queen Creek AZ, as well as other communities across the U,S, is encouraging home buyers near retirement age to participate in an online survey to "gain insight into their personalities and lifesytle preferences when it comes to planning retirement and their future homes".

I took the survey and found it interesting and thought provoking. I learned that I am mostly a traditionalist (Sounds a little boring. I wanted to be an "explorer driven by endless curiosity and adventure or soul seeker who is looking to gain more sensual experiences and inspiration in their lives ").

The six section personality quiz includes choosing from pictures of different community settings, questions about entertainment and travel preferences as well as interests and causes. The end result for the quiz taker is a better understanding about the retirement community that will best fit them. Participants also have the opportunity to discuss the results with Trilogy representatives and receive follow-up "information about events, activities and hobbies that best fit their unique personality styles".

Meeting Sam of Sam's Warriors Art and Autism at the Gilbert Farmers Market was extraordinary.

I went to the Farmer's Market in the Heritage District in downtown Gilbert AZ Saturday morning hoping to take a few pictures for a blog post. What I got was meeting a talented young artist who is donating most of the proceeds from selling his work to benefit the groups, AutismSpeaks and East Valley Autism Network. His mother told me Sam is doing this because of all he and his family have gotten from being a part of these organizations.

On Saturday at the Gilbert Farmers Market Sam had his cards for sale. He paints the pictures in oil or acrylic (he prefers acrylic because it drys faster) and places them on card stock. I choose flowers as the subject of my cards because I am partial to them but he paints colorful birds, lighthouses and so much more. For $2.00 each I purchased the cards with envelopes. I also enjoyed talking to this young artist and donated to a very worthy cause. (What a win-win that was!)

Whether you call them 55 plus, adult, retirement, senior - there are many age restricted communities in Arizona. Some are golf course lot homes, are in gated communities, and/or have extraordinary adult recreation centers and include lush common areas and lakes. They all have one thing in common. They have guidelines about the age of the residence. Use a buyer real estate agent who is familiar with adult communities in Arizona to assist you in finding one with the right amenities for your lifestyle and to provide you with the community guidelines.
