Today out of the hustle of everyday life we took a vacation and didn't go far to do it, nor did it last very long. We went on a hike through the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve.
What a great place to visit, It is open for all levels of activity. With a short 3/4 mile trail and the longer more scenic version 1.2 mile hike.
On our trip today we saw a Florida Alligator, Turtles, birds of all kinds and a huge snake. Type unknown, we were on a boardwalk and he was quite a bit below us. Not really any threat.
The trip was adventurous only cost $1.00 and really relaxing.
If you are visiting or live here in Fort Myers Florida I would strongly suggest taking an hour of your day or week and go visit the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve.
Fort Myers Florida active Rainbow.
Lee County has been known over the years for having some of the most beautiful Rainbow's.
Here is one taken today off the side of the road.
Alico Rd. is in South Fort Myers and is undergoing quite a restoration, this is to keep up with the demand of the area. We now have the Gulf Coast town center less the 2 miles from here and the Southwest Florida Regional International Airport.
What a great place to be! This rainbow is over the top of my South Remax Realty Group Office
The nature trail at the end of Barefoot Beach is one of my favorite places to go. There are several places you can park and walk to the beach but we like to go all the way to the end and take the 1 mile walk down the nature trail.
We usually see turtles and birds sometimes a armadillo. But the outcome always remains the same. A pleasant day at the beach.
We had an unuasually high surf today because of Hurrican Ike and some of the waves were over 7 feet tall. If you are into surfing this would have been the day to break out the boards.
It sanded my nail polish right off my toes.
Lee County Florida is a great place to live!
The San Carlos Park Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce recently attended the Greater Fort Myers and The Beach Realtor Expo at the Harborside Convention Center.
There was a great turn-out and great networking. Over the last many years I have attended these type events as a Realtor for Remax Realty Group, now also representing the Chamber of Commerce as the President/CEO elect, I had the opportunity to enjoy another kind of marketing.
