ARTWALK EXTENDS TO WATERFRONT WITH FREE THURSDAY NIGHT JAZZ CONCERT SERIES IN MAY & JUNE. The Scottsdale Gallery Association is extending its live music program through June at Scottsdale ArtWalk, a local tradition from 7 to 9 p.m. weekly on Thursday evening. In addition to its ongoing street performer scene - you can always find local street performers playing on Scottsdale street corners - the galleries are launching "Party After ArtWalk" with free live jazz at the SouthBridge Stetson Plaza stage until 11 p.m. on Thursdays. The series is sponsored in part by the City of Scottsdale Downtown Office and SouthBridge, the Downtown's newest one-of-a kind restaurant and retail district located on the south side of Arizona Canal, just west of Scottsdale Road. Featured groups include Rob Popescu Trio, Grant Ferguson Fusion, Paul-Eric Melhus Trio, Jazz Kat and others.
