Be A Man About It!
You ask what I am talking about. Prostate Cancer Awareness Week!!
September 15 to 21 2008
Do you know we have a 33% chance of getting prostate cancer than a woman is at getting breast cancer? I am here to tell you it’s true.
Every 17 minutes a man somewhere dies each and every day of Prostate Cancer in America.
Over 27,050 men will die just because they were just to bull head to get an examination or did not act in time.
Don’t let it be said. You were just too afraid or too embarrassed to get tested.
None of us can rest until we have won the battle against Prostate Cancer. So get off the side lines and get tested.
If you don’t want to think about yourself, then think about your family!!
Early Detection
There are two very commonly used yet they are controversial prostate screening methods, there’s the digital rectal exam, or you can have a blood test that will check for high levels of prostate-specific antigen (PSA). Although both screenings can detect a problem in the prostate, they will not show whether the problem is cancer or of a less serious condition.
PSA is not the most accurate test. But it is still the most effective screening available to us today. There’s a new urine test that may soon offered with less invasive and more accurate detection method, which will determine through cancer-related gene markers, those who have a higher risk for prostate cancer.
So let’s get our Blue Ribbons and show we care about our families.

Here in my area of New Hampshire on Tuesday 16 September 2008 at the Main Entrance of DHMC. The Prostate and Genitourinary Cancer Program at Norris Cotton Cancer Center will be hosting a Prostate Cancer Awareness Day.
There will be Educational Exhibits
From 2:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
At the South Mall next to the Rotunda, informational exhibits on decision-making support, treatment options, clinical trials, and the Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
You can also Pre-register and pick up information for a free prostate cancer screening to be held on Monday 22 September 2008. From 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
So let’s show our Support, for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month September 2008!!

Q. What is a "Home Inspection"?
A home inspection is an objective visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home, from the roof to the foundation. Having a home inspected is like giving it a physical check-up. If problems or symptoms are found, Baker Home Inspection and Consulting may recommend further evaluation.
Q. How long does a HOME INSPECTION usual take?
It really depends on the type of inspection you choose, I’ll be on site from 1 to 5 hours. Most 3 bedrooms, 2 baths Standard Home Inspections are between 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

Q. Can't I do it myself? Even the most experienced home owner lacks the knowledge and expertise of a professional home inspector who has inspected hundreds, perhaps thousands, of homes in his or her career. An inspector is familiar with the many elements of home construction, their proper installation, and maintenance. He or she understands how the home's systems and components are intended to function together, as well as how and why they fail. Above all, most buyers find it very difficult to remain completely objective and unemotional about the house they really want, and this may affect their judgment. For the most accurate information, it is best to obtain an impartial third-party opinion by an Professional in the field of Home Inspections. Questions that are frequently asked about Mold
1. Why do we have mold growing in our home ?
Molds is a part of the natural environment. Outdoors, mold plays a very important part in nature by breaking down dead organic matter such as fallen leaves in your yard
and dead trees, cut firewood
but indoors, mold growth should always be avoided. Molds reproduce by means of tiny spores, these spores are invisible to your naked eye and float through outdoor and indoor air in your home. Mold may begin to grow indoors when the spores land on a surface area that is wet.
There are lots of types of mold, and not one of them can start growing without some kind of water or moisture in your home.
2. Can mold cause myself or my family health problems ?
Molds are usually not a big problem indoors, unless the mold spores land on a wet or damp area in a home and start growing. Molds do have the potential to cause you and your family health problems. You see molds produce allergens, irritants, and in some cases, potentially toxic substances.
Allergic reactions to mold are very common and include hay fever- type symptoms. Such as sneezing, runny nose, red eyes, and even skin rash. Molds can and do cause asthma attacks in folk's with asthma who are allergic to mold.
