The experience begins the moment one arrives at a destination. That first impression and initial reaction that follows is our focus at Design2Sell. We specialize in the design of interior spaces, space planning, furniture selection, staging properties to add value prior to selling, and creating a “WOW” factor that makes others want to take a second look. Drive up to any business or home and you become immediately aware of the exterior. The entrance way beckons you inside where you anticipate a warm welcome. What was the design focus that got your attention?
· the vine draped mailbox at the curb
· the manicured lawn and neatly trimmed bushes
· the freshly painted door and shutters
· the welcome mat centered between two topiaries
A connection was made as soon as you took that first step inside. What interior design features caught your eye?
· the paint pallet highlighting the tone of each room
· the light filtering through from different sources
· the arrangement of furniture creating unique spaces
· the fresh scent of the ocean breeze in the air
There is so much to consider when your first set out to create that special “WOW” factor. You may have almost everything you need to take the ordinary to the next level. The only thing missing is the expertise of a design consultant. Barbara Heil-Sonneck at Design2Sell is eager to be your personal guide through the process of designing and redesigning your spaces for your own comfort and enjoyment or as a space planning exercise prior to marketing your home or business to Realtors and potential buyers. Our portfolio will give you a peek at the hidden potential our clients were able to see after using Design2Sell as their choice for space planning and design.
"The Sound of Music" exhibit at The Next Cool Event had a few very special visitors during the 2 day design extravaganza.
Dan Truhitte, an original cast member of the movie, "The Sound of Music", appeared as a featured guest of Barbara Heil-Sonnek and "The Sound of Music" team at the industry event. Most people know Truhitte best from his role as Rolf Gruber, the young German officer who captured our hearts singing "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" in the classic film.
This theater veteran was joined at the exhibit by Sarah Morgann, an international recording artist who sings in several languages and is currently promoted and signed by labels throughout Asia, Europe, Australia, and Canada.
She and Truhitte recently appeared together in "The Better Side of Life", where they presented an evening of song and dance in January. They pair has worked together for many years and have known one another since Morgann was a child. She began performing at the age of six and Truhitte, her vocal coach at the time, encouraged her to pursue a professional career.

The singing duo weren't the only featured visitors of the movie themed set. Dr. John visited with the Cabbage Patch “Von Trapp" kids. The "Von Trapp" kids came to play at the exhibit during the day on Saturday prior to the VIP Gala that evening. Guests that viewed the set were delighted by the addition of the sweet dolls around the set.

Design2Sell recently created an exhibit inspired by the movie “The Sound of Music” at The Next Cool Event, a creative showcase of local vendors and designers. On Feb. 17, 2012, “The Sound of Music” creative team unveiled a unique interpretation of the grand entry way in the Von Trapp family home as seen in the classic 1965 movie. Guests of the industry event were dazzled with a modern environment featuring a blend of Austrian and German décor reminiscent of the original foyer from of the famous film.
The atmosphere, live music, amazing food, and great people made this an especially unique event and the Design2Sell team was overwhelmed with the positive feedback from guests and supporters. Barbara Heil-Sonneck, company President and Creative Director, was especially thrilled with the final result of the set and guest response to the design environment.
"This unique exhibit would not have been possible without our design partners, creative contributors and supporters. The 2012 Next Cool Event was an unforgettable experience."

A bit of greenery goes a long way, whereas too much may mean upkeep for those without a "green thumb." Throw pillows add comfort regardless of the type of seating. Staging the outdoor space of your home will make a difference. It extends the amount of space that will appeal to the home buyer.
Setting the stage outdoors is a must in today's market. Give your home an added advantage with professional staging touches by our expert Barbara Heil-Sonneck. Contact Design2Sell for more details on how to stage your entire home.
