Surprise your Clients by Creating Memories

Little things can have a big impact and it can be done in different ways. Starting with small things, like a written Thank You card to bigger once like volunteering with your customer at his/her preferred
charity event. There are lots of ways to create an emotional bond.

Something imbedded into your way of doing business, staying true to your values and what you as a person stand for. I always try to listen closely, ask some open questions to learn more about my customers, there likings and preferences, something they are passionate about, something which might make them laugh, something they simply enjoy.

The same holds true with my friends. I keep a like/love list and surprise them with something they have said or mentioned one time and surprise them at a time when it is not expected (I am awful with birthdays). Showing appreciation can be done in so many ways and it makes your customerFeelings
feel special...

This little wonderful short video is a great example, it touched my
heart....

I Love Craftman Style - Staging Project

Design2Sell- We Stage Atlanta - Sticks

Ok, we all have our preferences, every Designer has his/her particular style, something signing every project like a signature on a painting.

I admit, I love to work with "young or young at heart professionals", I love open floor plans and a more modern, but cosy admbiente, In Re-Design projects I love to mix old and new and I love to work with natural pieces, like sticks.

Little things can make a big difference. A customers smile combined with an appreciation email is such a great Thank you!

Get featured - Using PR to get recognized

Being an alien has its advantages. After I decided to call Atlanta my home I started to get involved with the German School, German Consulate and Goethe Institute to stay connected with my roots.

A couple of month ago the German Consular threw a party at his residence in honor of the opening of the US office of Nurnberg Messe. I am a true believer in networking, introducing, connecting, welcoming and sharing with others, I guess that’s why people like to invite me :-). I introduced myself to a group of journalists, one was from my hometown and we even discovered that we went to the same school……

Last week I got a call from my hometown journalist. The newspaper was planning to release a one page article about small business owners around the world, the title “Life after Lehmann” a 1 year snapshot of how small business owners have dealt with the crisis after the collapse of Lehmann Brothers. Of course I said yes, and was featured today.

The first call I got was from my parents, they got several calls from some friends and neighbors about their daughter being in the News. It was a total surprise for them and I could hear how proud they were …

So how does it matter that an article is published in Germany and my business is in Atlanta? One of my target markets is the German speaking community, this is something to share with this niche. What is key? Pretty much similar rules as for blogging, something people can relate to, triggering an emotional response….
