Rolling On the River

My Trip to Tunica Mississippi was very EXCITING!! Of course we stayed in a Complementary Room from Harrah's.

Well the cat is out of the bag now, I love the SLOTS, Always getting free ROOMS, FREE MEALS, But is it really Free, probably not, but I sure did have fun Getting them.
Casinos were hot!!! Like a little Las Vegas.
This is the first year in 12 years that My Husband and I did not go to Las Vegas
In November. Instead , My Husband went Deer hunting and my Gambling Partner
and I opted to go to Tunica, Mississippi. Of course as you can see in my previous Blog
I did get to tour Memphis, Tenn. Which is 14 miles from Tunica.

The People were very friendly as we toured Downtown Tunica where all the antique shop were amazing. I also went ROLLING on the RIVER that is the Mississippi River.
Last but not least, the Cotton Fields were spectacular!!! I have never seen Cotton Fields. Amazing, So if you ever have the chance to visit Tunica, Mississippi, It is worth the Trip!!

ELVIS IS ALIVE AND DOING WELL!!!

That is His MEMORY is Alive and doing well in Memphis, Tenn.
I have Been a Elvis Fan ever since I was a little girl so going to Graceland last week was a Great and exciting Trip for me.
The first time I saw Elvis I was only 2 years old.
My Mother and I went to the movies to see Love Me Tender.
She said when Elvis died in this movie I cried.
I LOVED ELVIS then and Love him today.
As a teenager growing up in the Mountains of Grundy,Virginia I was never able to attend any of his concerts.
My Aunt Judy, was fortune enough to be able to attend several of his concerts and still has the ticket to the last Concert that was scheduled which never took place. Elvis died before the Scheduled Concert. Graceland was GREAT!!
Memphis is a town with a lot of History. Like Sun Studio and Beale Street. Hope you enjoy my Photos.

SUN STUDIOS

My Husband Just got back from Muzzle Loading Hunting in Henry co. This is out in the
middle of no where with no running water no electric. and this weekend there was no deer.
As you can see by the pictures it is a beautiful place. 250 Acres of just Land!!! Land He
bought years ago just for Hunting.

But This Next Picture was taking in our Back Yard TODAY!!!!!
YES, Now this is what he was looking for on The Big Farm....

Hope you enjoy the Pictures.
Cumberland Falls is located approx 15 miles from Corbin, Kentucky.
The water is low because of such dry weather this year. But it is still
A beautiful place to visit. So nice and peaceful and cell phones
don't work there to far out. Here are some pictures I took while My Friend
and I were visting the Falls. Enjoy!!
This Sunday was a Great day for me, Because I was blessed to get to visit with my Aunt Judy.
She is the only living Aunt that I have and She has been battling Cancer for approx 5 months.
My Mother only had one sister, my Aunt Judy, which I have never called her Aunt because she is the sister I never had. My mother died with cancer 11 years ago this month at the very young age of 60. And my Grandmother died with cancer 3 yrs ago at the age of 94.The four of us were close . We were always doing something when we were together wheather it was shopping or just cooking, laughing and enjoying life. Even tho, I haven't seen my Aunt Judy in 2 years, we have keep close contact by phone.

She has worked 40 years as a Nurse in Grundy, Va. At the Grundy Hospital until recently when she was diagnosed with Cancer of the esophagus. Since she has finished her kimo and feeling better, she and Henry drove to Pikeville which is about 30 min. drive from Grundy;
We flew to Pikeville for our over due Reunion. Of course since I was co-pilot I was in charge of the Pictures. I can not post all of the pictures because I kinda got carried away and took 196 pictures. Everything from the air looks so much different than on the ground. It is so beautiful!!
On the way over my husband, Bob, kept saying his GPS would not take the call letter for Pikeville Airport. The way I understand it is you program the Airport call letters into the GPS and follow it to the airport you have logged in, well, he then logged in Hazard, Ky and it would accept it, then after we passed Hazard Airport he keep trying to log in Pikeville Airport with no luck. Of course he had a air map but it's hard sometimes to find it by an air map. Air maps have landmarks you watch for, Too bad Walmart wasn't on the Air Map. As you can see I found Walmart in Hazard. He said I'm sure we can find it,

I said Maybe we should stop and ask for directions HA!!HA!! Well we just kept meandering and finally my Husband said I believe I see an Airport,

I don't know if it is the right one but we are going to land and find out. Sure enough it was and there was my Aunt standing out by the runway looking for us. After a lot of hugging and lot of tears, We drove to Bob Evans and visited awhile. She was even able to eat a little, which she hadn't been able to do because of the kimo.
She looks great and we are Believing God for a miracle. We had more hugging and more tears.
Then we started our journey Home.
I hope you enjoy my Sunday Reunion Pictures AND all the AERIALS of My journey
From London, Hazard, Pikeville and all in between!!!
