Sunday afternoon and here we go, my husband and I start out to the airport.

It's been awhile since I've been up in our small plane. He flies often between

Paris and London which is about a 45minute trip. Of course that is Paris, Ky and London, Ky.

But today we are just flying around London. The leaves are changing but they are

not as colorful as they usually are because of the dry weather. Hope you enjoy the aerials.

On Tuesday morning, Patsy, Dura Anne and myself

3 Eastern Ky Realtors ® started our yearly journey to

KAR Convention which was held in Covington, Ky.

On the Ohio River across from Cincinnati,Ohio.

There was so many good classes and great Speakers

that one could not be in all of them.

Tuesday was filled with Committee Meetings.

I accepted a position on KREEF as a Trustee,

which I am so excited about. KREEF is the

Kentucky Real Estate Education Foundation Education.

Education is number in my book for any career.

I don't think you can ever get enough Education.

Wednesday started very early with a Board of Directors

meeting beginning at 7:30am. Then opening Session

with Michael Tchoung a serial entrepreneur speaking

about trends and fads. He was Great!!

My favorite Class was taught by Terry Watson

from Chicago, Ill. He spoke on Marketing and

Buyer You're mine. This young man is so full of

energy that some of it is bound to rub off on every

individual that sits in his class. He will keep your

attention, because there is never a dull moment.

I sit through his classes back to back and time just

flew by. I left with the feeling that I had learned

something that I could actually use to help better

my Real Estate Career.

Tuesday night KAR bused us over to Newport, Ky

for a night out on the Levee .

Wednesday night was a Great RPAC Fund Raiser at the Great America Ball Park home of the Cincinnati RED'S.

Region 6 at the Installation Dinner

Thursday night was our Installation

of 2009 KAR Officers. Congratulations

to all Directors, Delegates at Large and

special Congratulations to

Jeff Smith President 2009

John Smither President Elect

This was a Great Convention and my Thanks to Northern Kentucky

Board for all their hard work for making this a great Success!!

19^th Annual Chicken Festival

LONDON, KY

I can't believe it's been 19 years since the World Chicken Festival began.

My Children were 7 and 16 years old, when we started attending the

Festival. Now they are taking their children 11,5,and 3. Time sure

does pass by fast!!!

our Annual World Chicken Festival

The Chicken Festival will began on Thursday

September 25^th - 28^th downtown London,Ky

Each year 200,000 plus people attend this Chicken Event.

The year was 1930 in Laurel County where it all began ,Harlan Sanders operated

a gas station in Corbin, Ky, where he started selling his FAMOUS CHICKEN to travelers

stopping for gas. It wasn't long before people were

coming just to eat, then in 1937 he moved across the street and open his first RESTAURANT

CONVENTION TIME AGAIN FOR KENTUCKY

ONCE AGAIN IT IS CONVENTION TIME . I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF REALTOR (KAR)FOR 13 YEARS. EVERY YEAR I LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING REALTORS®FROM ALL OVER KENTUCKY. I LEARN MORE FROM ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS AT THE CONVENTION THEN I LEARN ALL YEAR FROM CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES. I HAVE A GREAT RESPECT FOR REALTORS® THAT HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL TO OUR ORGANIZATION YEAR AFTER YEAR AND GIVE OF THEIR TIME, LEADERSHIP, KNOWLEDGE AND SUPPORT TO BETTER OUR INDUSTRY. THIS IS A ONE TIME OF THE YEAR FOR SOME TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL AND AT THE SAME TIME STILL BE INVOLVED WITH WHAT WE ALL LOVE "REAL ESTATE" NETWORKING IS THE BEST PART OF CONVENTION AND OF COURSE OUR "FIELD OF BLING" FUND RAISER FOR RPAC AT THE GREAT AMERICAN BALL PARK.

THIS YEAR THERE WILL BE SEVERAL FACES MISSING THAT HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THERE OVER THE YEARS. WE WILL MISS THEM GREATLY. LET'S REMEMBER THEIR FAMILIES.

OUR THEME THIS YEAR IS "RETHINK" WHICH IS WHAT WE ALL HAVE HAD TO DO THIS YEAR. WE HAVE A GREAT LINE UP OF GREAT SPEAKERS, ED HATCH, TERRY WATSON AND MANY MORE.
