Hello, Hello again,
We have recently changed our web design company, and have been working diligently with them to come up with a reasonably productive and functional web site to take us into the New Year. Please take a look and let us know what you think. We are at the same great location www.newlunrealty.com with new skin. Thank you in advance for your input and support.
This is for those of you who wanted some pic's of the emu. I finally got them uploaded so here they are.

The first neighbor was not home so he decided to go the ones that were sitting in there driveway, who incidentally tried to feed him and scared him. But he was kind enough to hang out till the cops arrived a short time later.

The truck followed the police car to the scene, were guessing he didn't believe the story of a emu wandering the street. Now what do you suppose there talking about?
Have you ever looked out your living room window and went "woo what is or was that?" Well that is exactly what I did this last weekend. Here was this giant bird walking down the street, and heading for my neighbors yard. At first glance we thought that it was an ostrich but soon discovered it had wings making it an emu. Emu's are originally indigenous to Australia but are brought over for farming purposes. This guy visited several people on the block so that we could all get pictures, (sorry there not uploaded.) The police were called so that he wouldn't get harmed. The officer did not attempt to catch him however; instead he followed him around town. As far as we know he made it home safe and sound. Only in Nekoosa Wisconsin will you find an emu walking the streets in the winter.

Do you have nothing to do this Saturday? Why not load up the kids and head to Nekoosa for their Heritage Holiday. You will have the opportunity to watch and maybe even help the citizens of Point Basse get ready for Christmas. There will be plenty of winter activities, weather permitted. There will be decorations of the period, sleigh rides, and Christmas carolers strolling the street. Help us add some holiday charm with our Historic Point Basse on Saturday the 19th from 10am till 4pm.
