Louisville Zoo To Hold Mulch Sale

The Louisville Zoo located at 1100 Trevilian Way, will hold a mulch(hardwood) and compost sale on April 26 from 8am till 11am.You may pay at the ticket window, and pickup will be at the bus parking lot.Prices for the mulch will be $22.50 for a small pickup truck and $35.00 for a medium to large pickup. Compost is also available for $30.00 for a bobcat scoop. For more info you may call 459-2181.

City of Louisville To Hold Junk Drop-Off Sunday April 20th

The city of Louisville will have a junk drop-off on Sunday April 20th at Waste Mangement Landfill, located at 2673 Outer Loop from 101m till 4pm.Residents are asked to seperate any items that may be recycled. They will not accept yard waste,paint, tires, hazardous materials, or commercial trash.Anything with freon , the freon must be removed. materials such as paint,old batteries,chemicals, or fertilizer should be taken to The household Hazardous Material Collection Center which is located at 7501 Grade Lane, The center is open on Wendsday and Saturdays only. The hours are 9am till 3pm.For more information you may call 574-5000. Try to get there early as the lines are usually pretty long.

Bullitt County Cleanup set for April 19th and April 26th

Bullit County will have a cleanup on April 19th and April 26. Bullitt County residents can start dropping off items that they no longer want starting at 8 am. The drop off points will be at Bullitt East High Schools parking lot, Nichols Elementry school, and Brooks Elementry school. The drop off points will close at 4 pm. Tires, any hazardous materials,anything containg freon, or non recyclable items will not be accepted.

Fairdale Ky Youth Baseball parade saturday April 19th

Fairdale Youth Baseball will have thier begining of the seaso parade tommorow Saturday April 19th at 10 am. Team members should be there earlier, call your coach to find out what time he or she wants you there. There will also be a cookout later, I havent been told what time yet. My sons team is supposed to recieve thier uniforms this evening, call your coach if you dont know what time your team recieves thiers.In addition, weather permitting the season is supposed to start tommorow.

Louisville Metro Council Members to be at Fairdale High School

Louisville Metro Council members will be at Fairdale High School at 6.30 pm on Monday April 21, 2008. The school which is located at 1001 Fairdale Road, will be part of the Mayors monthly Community Conversation series.There are supposed to be different members of the Metro council, and reps of our local utilities, department heads of the city. Area residents are supposed to be able to ask questions or to make thier suggestions.If you need more information you are requested to call 574-5000.
