Many of you may have heard, that our owners, who used to be die hard Keller Williams folks, decided that it was in their best interest to change our franchise Branding from Keller Williams to Re/Max.
It was known that there were a couple of our agents in our market center, Josh Bath and Terri Spillsbury, who had already made it known that they wanted to open their own franchise of Keller Williams in another area... consequently, they had things already in the works. They had been to FSO and had plans to open a new location soon.
So, with the announcement of the change of branding, they decided that they would carry on the KW name in our market area and open up a new Market Center in Port Coquitlam. The new Market Center will be Keller Williams Elite Realty!
There are a number of us that are moving to the NEW franchise... of Keller Williams... Some of us have even moved temporarily to Keller Williams Valley Realty until the new office opens (1-2 weeks).
Once their application was in, Keller Williams International, gave their approval for the go-ahead within an hour... It was the fastest approval to date. THEY LOVE US HERE!.. thank you International....
I look at this as a great opportunity-- Those that are now with KW... are the ELITE (excellent name guys).. Those that are in the KW CULTURE... Those ready to grow, learn the systems, and become the best that they can be...
I wish the owners of the new Re/max Results Realty the best. We have had some great times, learned together, played together, even went to Mexico together... Let's have some more great times as we professionally take care of our clients across the table from each other... In fact, let's do that a lot!
The statistics just in... Housing sales in the Greater Vancouver area rose 94% in Feb. compared to sales in January. The were 1480 sales registered is February and only 762 in January which was the lowest sales month recorded in the past 25 years.
Over the past 10 years, the sales in February have been better than those in January by an average of about 53%.
The number of listings for February were also down by 25.6% from those listed in February 2008.
The benchmark price, as calculated by the MLSLink Housing Price Index®, for detached properties declined 14.2 per cent from February 2008 to $653,452.
The benchmark price of an apartment property declined 13.9 per cent from February 2008 to $333,143.
The benchmark price of an attached unit declined 9.7 per cent between February 2008 and 2009 to $426,268.

Hello again. CMHC has come out again with their economic indicators for January 2009 as compared to the past year.
They are showing mortgage rates , based on posted rates, being the lowest that they have been in the past year. Last January, they had it listed at 7.39% for a 5 year term and this year for January they have it at 5.79% as the posted rate. Discounted rates are a bit better than this rate, but they use these rates as they are consistant.
This means that your principle and interest payments have dropped from $725 per $100,000 to $627 per $100,000. (again, based on posted rates and not discount rates)
The unemployment rate in the Vancouver Labour Market has gone up to 5.1% compared to 3.9% last January.
The average Weekly Earnings for individuals in the Vancouver Labour Market has increased to $818 per week as compared to $768 per week last January.
ABBOTSFORD Labour Market---
Unemplyment has risen to 5.7% this January as compared to 3.5% Last January.
Average weekly earnings has gone to $744 per week as compared to $759 per week Last January.

Yes... Not all blogs are happy blogs. Keller Williams Results Realty is no longer. The owners/brokers have made the decision to change brands and to go with RE/MAX. The new offices, which will now be two seperate franchises, will be known as RE/MAX Results Realty. Some people will think this is a happy blog, while others not so happy.
The Keller Williams signs around town are going to be changing here in the next few days, and the KW brand is going away in the area, or is it?
Keller Williams Valley Realty in Abbotsford is not part of this franchise and will remain unchanged.
