What is a Beale?

What is a Beale? It's a nickname, actually. I was born William Dabbs Jr. I never took to being called Billy or Bill Jr. A young neighbor girl could not pronounce my name correctly and would always yell it as "BEEEEL, BEEEEL!". My friends began to call me by that name and I eventually adopted it, taking the spelling of B-E-A-L-E from Beale Street, the famous Blues club lined street in Memphis, TN.

Music has been a love of mine from my teen years on. I learned to play the guitar and bass as well as to program electronic synthesizers. I eventually became a professional musician and spent most of the nineties touring and recording. By 2000, my wife Jacki's real estate business began to take off just as the music industry began to radically downsize. I joined her in real estate at that time, providing her with extensive web advertising at a time when few realtors were using this approach. I streamlined the way we worked in the office and while showing homes by integrating our computers, cameras and smartphones into a seamless, easy to use whole.

I've been fascinated with technology all my life and have always incorporated it into everything I do. As a professional musician, I was known for elaborate sounds and set ups, even building my own pedals if necessary. In real estate, I've taken the same approach and have equipped both my wife and I with technology tailored to our clients needs. This allows us to work from virtually anywhere. We run a largely paperless office, utilize electronic signature services and can access most documents through a smartphone or iPad wherever we are. And, of course, we always accommodate those who still prefer to use pen and paper.

But the benefits that technology provides for us and our clients is nothing without our experience and care. We look after our clients before, during and after any sale. In the end, it's the personal relationships that matter in real estate!
