I have prepared a chart showing how many homes/condos have sold in the city of Redlands, CA, for the first two months of 2012. I have broken it down by the type of listing; Standard Sale, Short Sale (owner sells home for less than the mortgage amount) and Bank Owned Sale (REO).

As you can see, the number of short sales and standard sales has increased and the chart shows the numbers are almost equal for all 3. This is a big change as the number of Bank Owned sales for the past 4 years had been five times more that short sales and standards. Home owners had been holding onto their homes if they did not need to sell but now we are seeing many standard sales. This is a good sign of real estate market recovery.

The 26^th Annual Los Angeles Marathon will be on March 18, 2012. Go to the official LA Marathon web site to find out all information for the upcoming race.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR THE 2012 HONDA LA MARATHON IS CLOSED.
REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE HONDA LA MARATHON EXPO ON MARCH 16 & 17. Online Hotel reservation is also closed so you need to call the hotels directly to book rooms. Go to the site for street closures and parking for visitors.

Both Male and Female 1st Place Winners will win a brand new Honda. How exciting!

The Honda LA Marathon Expo annually hosts over 100 exhibitors featuring the brand-new designs in running gear and shoes, as well as the latest developments in sports, fitness, and nutrition.

In addition, the Expo is the home of Participant Packet Pick-Up for all 25,000 Marathon runners. Located at Dodger Stadium, the Expo is free and open to the public.

John Norian, MD, Loma Linda University Medical Center physician, will be running the upcoming Los Angeles Marathon to raise funds in support of families struggling with infertility.

Dr. Norian, a fertility specialist at LLUMC Center for Fertility and In Vitro Fertilization, hopes to raise $2,500 for the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation. The foundation is a not-for-profit that serves the needs of families battling infertility.

“Since I became part of LLUMC”, Dr. Norian said, “I have personally how powerful the Cade Foundation is, and thus I have been motivated to tread though the streets of L.A. to raise some money for this very important group.”

Dr. Norian meets with couples from across the Inland Empire who are trying to start a family, however medical and financial issues make the process challenging.
