Reason #458 I Love Living in Cary, NC

07-30-09
Scott Hoyt

Cary NC, especially West Cary is a cyclists dream! Cyclists are able to head west toward lake Jordan and minimal traffic and ride to their hearts content. I love waking up and hitting the road at 6:15 am and not being the only one on the road, it is amazing how many early bird cyclists there are around Highcroft and Cary Park.

On the weekend there is a steady stream of smiling happy cyclists destressing!

Reason #458 are all the great biking opportunities...you can see a lot of these rides at www.mapmyride.com simply type in Cary.

The Western Wake Farmers Market has been a roaring success building raving fans for two months now! Located in front of Carpenter Village off of Morrisville Carpenter Road between Davis and 55, the location is good for all of West Cary & Morrisville.

Care2.com is having a "love your farmers market" contest and the winning market gets not only the honor and priviledge of being #1 on the Farmers Market lists (we all know how Cary loves to be on lists!), the winning market also gets a $5,000 dollar grant to make their shoppers experience better.

Jay-Z and the gang have worked very hard to make Western Wake rock, please show them you love the market by voting & spreading the word!

Go HERE and select Western Wake Farmers Market to vote!

Please stop by the market every Saturday morning!

Youthful Observations

My nine year old son poured sunshine on the real estate business saturday. "Dad there sure have seen a lot of moving trucks lately". After thinking about it, he is right, I have noticed a lot of big ole moving trucks, not like in 2006 and 2007 when it looked like a moving truck parade, but a lot up and down 55 in West Cary.

Sometimes it takes the unobscured obsvervations of a bright nine year old to give you the pulse of the market. It is nice to see something besides data that suggests the market is heading back to normal!

59 Days to Go!

Today was a crazy branding day. New brand standards came in, office redesign conversations, and the most exciting part was our new data feed/idx solution. It is always amazing to learn new markets (we have a veteran practitioner in the market, it is new to me), I am an information junkie. I dwell on useless information, I love knowing the what average sales prices are and how that compares to same period last year, I love that Paris Hiltons mom is Sissy from Family Affair, you get the point I am quite boring!

Todays question that will linger through the weekend, how does this all fit together into a clear concise effort? How do personalize each market and keep the integrity of the brand to our agents benefit. How does the communication flow work? How do we allign the information in a clear way and how do we tie that to scalable marketing? Tough questions, lots of white board time.
