We opened our golf season here at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, TX., on Saturday with a fun golf tournament. It was my first so I was very nervous and played really bad, but the good news is I met a man that wants to sell his house...yea! See, golf is not all bad.

The Villages of Berry Creek

New home sales all over the nation have taken a huge hit the last couple of years, but the Austin, TX. area seems to be somewhat stable. Taylor-Morrison Homes in the Villages of Berry Creek have 2 completed field models under $200,000. They are offering incentives and drawings for trips to Disney World. The neighborhood is almost complete, so you will not be dealing with construction for very much longer. The neighborhood has turned out nice for a volume builder. They moved right along in sales and kept the construction sites clean. The Villages of Berry Creek have homes backing to green belts, a wading pool and regular sized pool, but the best thing about the Villages is you can use the amenities of Berry Creek Country Club for a small addition to your HOA dues. The streets are golf cart friendly too. The Villages of Berry Creek in Georgetown, TX. would be a wonderful place to call home.

Rain camp was awesome

Although I am from the older generation that sold real estate from a book that was distributed every 2 weeks, and the topic of converssation in the car while on tour was all about computers coming soon, I just completed the Raincamp Dallas and was amazed. I spent my time looking dazed and wondering what all the initials were that they were talking about. After all the dust settled, I realized you don't have to be a techie to sell real estate these days. If I got anything out of Raincamp its that people still need people to sell. I do not have to go over the top with blogging. I need to do it everyday, but getting out and knocking doors and calling people is still needed. The enthusiasm I experienced reminded me of first starting out in real estate. I was so excited, but confused, so I just kept moving forward and learning as I go. Well now I am doing the same thing with websites, blogging, .com's etc. and am happy to report I can see a flicker of hope for the excitement kicking in. Don't worry, I'll get there. Thank you Raincamp.

I just completed a webinar featuring a real estate professional in Colorado Springs Co. I have been blogging on AR since 2007, but never took add'l steps to get better. I learned a lot and found out that after 25 yrs of real estate sales, the old marketing techniques from the good old days are gone forever. I have decided to get with the program...FINALLY!
