River Vale New Jersey Real Estate | December 2011 Single Family Homes Sold Report
River Vale New Jersey saw Five home closed in this popular town as the Holiday Season kicks off. The average Sold price was $383,200 (down significantly from last month) for the upscale town of River Vale NJ.
River Vale NJ is amongst the 8 Pascack Valley towns of Bergen County New Jersey and it's lush park-like character has prompted it to be known as the "Garden Spot" of the Pascack Valley. This small tight knit community is constantly changing to keep up with the times while maintaining that very desirable small town feel.
The price differential for December is around 12%. The average days on the market was 78 for the month of December indicating that the Pascack Valley area market has continued to slow down for the holiday season in this volatile market.

But one must keep in mind that the Average Sold price is for smaller modest homes in the lower price ranges on up to the larger homes in the million dollar plus price range.

The Northern Valley town of Closter saw Eight homes closed as the warmer temps of this past fall seem to want to continue into the Winter Season. Now that the Holidays are over we are officially into the winter season but have not experienced a bad bout of weather like we had last year here in the Northeast.
