Pick Your Home Inspector Early.

A growing trend with experienced home buyers is one I highly recommend for the first time home buyer.

  1. Pick our home inspector as early as possible. While you are picking your real estate agent also be looking for your home inspector. By not waiting till after you pick the home you want to buy, you will be reducing your stress level by not having to look for an inspector at last minute.
  2. By have an inspector you are comfortable with you now have someone to call with questions on the homes you are looking at.
  3. One area that is a bit of a surprise to first time home buyer is the cost of the home inspection. With the average cost in my area (Metro Atlanta) of around $300. One way to offset the cost of the home inspection is pre-pay some of the cost to the inspector. An example is: my clients say they are looking for a 2000 sq ft home, I tell them 2000 sq ft inspection will run them $250, they put some money down toward that sum, this can reduce the stress of paying for the inspection. And is refundable if they do not buy a home.

Picking our Home Inspector does not have to be stressful for you. The Home inspector is a tool for you to use to make buy the home of your dreams easier.

600,000 New Jobs

Oh, sorry the title should read 600,000 new government jobs. 600,000 new government jobs all part of Obama's so-called stimulus package.

  1. 600.000 government jobs are going to appear from where?
  2. The real question is do Americans understand what a government jobs is?
  3. Are government jobs self-sustaining?
  4. Do government jobs create value?
  5. Is it profit or taxes that support a government jobs?

While a government job involves work and earns a paycheck, every government job is a burden on the private sector because it takes money away from the people who pay taxes. While some of those jobs, such as military personnel or law enforcement, are essential for our nation, it's no secret that government is full of countless bureaucratic and wasteful jobs that the private sector can better perform.

But, Obama wants 600,000 more government jobs to oh yea stimulate the economy.........

Here is a House Bill I like!

House bill H.R. 7309 that Rep. Gohmert has introduced would suspend all federal income tax on wages earned and FICA withholding for 2 straight months.

This tax holiday would be a direct stimulus to the economy by allowing workers and families to decide how to spend or save their money, instead of another round of pork barrel and vote repayment spending in Congress that would cost less than the remaining $350 billion in already authorized for bailout funds.

This is great idea that the MoveOn.org media and the Democrats in Congress are trying to ignore.

Opponents will have two main arguments:

  1. The tax holiday will not help the lowest income workers. Wrong! A two-month tax holiday in these economic times might save a small business on the edge of going under.
  2. It would reduce federal tax revenues that the government can't afford to give up. Wrong again! First of all, it is not the government's money, it is our money, and every tax cut in history has produced greater tax revenues into the federal Treasury.

The Gift of Life Challenge

There are several things I believe all citizens should do if they are able. 1) Vote, 2) Watch government, and 3) Give blood.

I have given blood every 3 months since I was 18 years old with breaks in giving only due to different Army overseas deployments here and there. My father is the one who showed me the importance of donating blood.

Giving

Blood donations are down across the country and the need is great. One day someone we know (or even ourselves) will need these blood donations. They are needed for our families, our friends, and our service members.

My challenge to ALL ActiveRain members to give blood sometime this week and then comment here only after you have donated.

Let us help our families, our communities and our country. Let us start the New Year with FULL blood banks.

PLEASE GIVE.
