Mortgage Modification & Mortgage Loan Modification

There is a lot of questionable information floating around with regard to mortgage modification. Most of this information is being provided by people and companies who hope to profit from the current mortgage loan crisis and want to charge people large fees to negotiate modification of their mortgages.

Talk to your lender and ask for the loss mitigation department.

Look in your local area for Foreclosure Prevention Seminars or Foreclosure Prevention Workshops.

You want to look at events that are involved with the HOPE program and Hope for Homeowners and similar programs.

Community Information & Referral http://www.cir.org/ runs a state-wide foreclosure prevention hotline in Arizona under the sponsorship of the Arizona Department of Housing. Callers are put in touch with a HUD Certified Foreclosure Counselor.

In Arizona, the number to call is 877-448-1211. Outside of Arizona call 888-995-HOPE.

http://www.arizonaforeclosuretaskforce.com/ provides news about foreclosure prevention efforts in the state of Arizona. This is the website of Governor Janet Napolitano’s Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force, and is sponsored and supported by two of my companies.

Thursday night, there was a foreclosure prevention workshop in Glendale Arizona and hundreds of people were helped. I heard one of the 20+ lenders who had a team there say that she had helped over 90 people begin the process of modifying their loans that night.

Loan Modification - Frequently Asked Questions from the Department of Housing and Urban Development - HUD

Join us Tuesday October 21, 2008 – 9:00 am - 11:30 am for "Creating Leads, Networking"

Join us for NETWORKING at 9 AM and then for the fourth in a series of six programs developed for the SJN Curriculum on the Job Search Process, "Creating Leads, Networking."

“I called a friend of mine, John, and asked him if there was an opening at his company. He said he wasn’t sure, but didn’t think so. I also called three other friends and told them I was looking for work. I asked them that if they heard of anyone who was hiring, would they please let me know. I spent the whole morning on the phone networking.” Sound familiar? Most people know what networking is—and don’t do it OR some think they are networking, but aren’t doing it correctly. Did you know that 75-80% of jobs are attained through networking? Believe it or not—it is true!

Join us when George Fleming will take you through the steps of the networking process! It is not as difficult as you might think. The best part about networking is that it gives you more control of your job search. Learning to network correctly will change your attitude toward this very important area of the job search process. --- come and find out how!

Thank you,
Bill Austin

Scottsdale Job Network (SJN) is a non-profit community group of business leaders and volunteers. We are not a job placement forum, and we do not match candidates to openings nor do we send resumes to employers or recruiters. There is no guarantee of employment either directly through this group or as a result of association with SJN. We do, however, provide education in the job search process and all attendees have the opportunity to meet and work with people who offer support and guidance during employment transition.

The value of SJN lies in the skills, business networks and personal passions of our members. Membership is open to everyone willing to share their skills and anyone interested in local networking or in need of employment transition support.

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona - The Bison Western Museum will celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday, October 18, 2008, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in North Scottsdale. Festivities will include giveaways, contests, cowboy storytelling, free popcorn, candy and balloons and more.

To commemorate the one year anniversary, admission will be just $1 per visitor all day on the 18th. In addition, the celebration will mark the official opening of the Lou & Evelyn Grubb Room exhibiting the woodcarvings of Dee Flagg.

Since opening its doors last October the Bison Western Museum has gained wide acceptance and has established itself as one of the finest collections of Western, Native American and bison memorabilia and artifacts in the country. Year two will feature a special Spirit of the Old West lecture series, a Welcome to Old Scottsdale display, Flagg family pieces previously not displayed and more.

The Bison Western Museum houses more than 30,000 pieces and features such exhibits as “Dances with Wolves” and Native American artifacts room, the Singing Buffalo Family, the Saddled Bison “photo op” and a vast assortment of bronzes, paintings and prints. The extensive Buffalo Bill exhibit includes historic photos, prints, trinkets, documents, one of his famous Sharps rifles and more.

Also highlighted is the personal collection of the Flagg family, Scottsdale’s own “first family” of Western artists. The Flagg collection contains hundreds of items from paintings to sketches, from the original Parada del Sol program cover artwork to life size wood carved figures of Buffalo Bill, Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill Hickok and others. In addition, the Flaggs created the artwork of the giant cowboy that has welcomed visitors to Scottsdale for over 50 years. A blow up of the original sketch is on display.

The museum is complemented by a gift shop, western library, party lounge, Western pavilion and the Bison Homes Information Center. It is located at 16641 N. 91st Street in Scottsdale, just north of West World. For more information and hours of operation please call 480-837-8700, or visit www.bisonwesternmuseum.com
