Entrepreneurs who feel they are not measuring up need to look at how their own self-image measures up
Bill Bartmann, a self-made billionaire, continues a series of interviews where he has been expressing his belief that success is driven by one's own self-image. Bill Bartmann believes self-image plays a major role in being successful. He explained, "If you think you are going to fail, or if you think you can't accomplish something, you will not be successful. Bill Bartmann shares how he discovered how self esteem affects one's self confidence and ability to face life's challenges and cope with difficulties
During a recent interview, Bill Bartmann, self-made billionaire, shared some of his life's experiences and explained how he was able to cope with difficulties and succeed. He explained how important self esteem is and how it has a direct bearing on one's happiness and well being as they work toward their goals.

If you are lacking in self confidence it could be that you are overly critical of yourself."

"The important thing is to recognize what is happening and respond to it in a positive way. When you find yourself being negative, ask yourself if it really is true. Are you really stupid? Is it true that you are hopeless and that you cannot succeed?"
Bill Bartmann shared some tips on building self-confidence, including surround your self by others who are self-confident; model their attitude by appearing to be self-confident; focus on strengths rather than on weaknesses; reward yourself for accomplishments and learn from your failures.

Bill Bartmann shares how his early experiences led him to discover a billion dollar tip for entrepreneurs
Bill Bartmann has been nicknamed, the billionaire nobody knows. His story began when he left home at the age of 14 and joined a street gang. Being the smallest member, weighing 98 pounds did not stop him from picking fights with the big guys. Bill Bartmann still possesses great strength and determination today; a trait that has stuck with him throughout his many business ventures.
Bill Bartmann has agreed to a series of interviews where he will share his own experiences with success and failure. Bill Bartmann said, "Failure is an opportunity to learn and to bounce back." Throughout his business career, Bill Bartmann has become a billionaire, twice. He has also experienced both businesses going under. But Bill Bartmann does not consider himself a failure; he learned from his mistakes and now he's back again! Bill said, "Each time I bounce back just a little bit higher."
Bill Bartmann shared what he calls a billion dollar tip for entrepreneurs, "I learned at a very young age that self-esteem plays a large role in your life and is a major key to success. Your self-image drives everything that you do; your self-image is linked to your self-esteem and self-confidence. When you improve your self-esteem then improvements in your life will naturally follow."
Bill Bartmann said building a high self-esteem adds to one's personal strength and self-confidence and gives them the ability to cope with life's challenges. When things are not going as planned, those with a high self esteem are better able to face the problem and cope with the situation. Bill explained, "Those with high-self esteem are in charge of their own lives; they are not afraid to ask themselves what they could be doing wrong or what they could do to improve a situation. They take responsibility for what happens rather than try to blame someone else. Those with a low self-esteem will often deny that there is a problem, or blame someone else. Their attitude hinders their ability to solve the problem."
Bill Bartmann has had his share of self-doubt and even times of depression; he wouldn't be human otherwise. According to Bill Bartmann, when your self-esteem is strong and when you are clear about your core values, the things you stand for and what you are willing to compromise on, then you bounce back from the lows in life. When you surround yourself with successful people and do what they do, you are sure to succeed
Tulsa, OK - Bill Bartmann has had his share of ups and downs; from homeless at the age of 14, three times a millionaire, twice bankrupt, as well as being a billionaire, Bill has quite a story to share. Inspired by the events that defined his career, Bartmann is the founder of the Billionaire Business School for aspiring entrepreneurs. His seminars, workshops and materials are designed to show people that anyone can be successful in spite of any obstacles that may be in the way.
Bartmann was one of eight children in a family that moved around a lot. His father was a janitor; his mother cleaned houses. Bill left home at the age of 14, joined a street gang and worked several low-wage jobs. He was seriously injured at the age of 17 and told he would never walk again. Five months later, he walked out of the hospital and into his future.
"Sometimes you need a negative motivator to build your self-esteem," Bartmann says. He explains that if you have a positive self-image, you can separate specific failures from who you really are. "Any failure can be overcome if you don't over-generalize it," he says. "You have to see it as something that happened to you. It doesn't determine your real value. The main cause of failure is the inability to deal with self-doubt."
Bill Bartmann worked hard, completed the high school equivalency test, graduated law school, and then went into the gas and oil drilling business. He took over a bankrupt pipe manufacturing company for oil rigs and built a successful business during the 1980's. By October of 1985, Bill Bartmann lost it all when oil prices dropped, forcing him to close the company, $1 Million in debt.
Bill Bartmann was not discouraged; he was determined to pay the debts he incurred and move on. He was able to borrow $13,000 to go into debt collections and build a $5 Billion dollar business. In September, 1998, he appeared on the cover of Inc. Magazine with the headline, "The Billionaire Nobody Knows."
One month later, a business partner embezzled millions of dollars; by July 1999, Bartmann declared bankruptcy. He was accused of fraud and spent 4.5 Million to clear his name
Bill Bartmann is a fighter! "I'm not bitter because look at what I still have," he says, referring to his wife, two daughters, two grand-kids and money in the bank. "This is what success is really about," he tells audiences at his Billionaire Business School seminars, which drew 280,000 attendees in 2007.
Bartmann says that most people do not possess the basic business management skills needed to maintain a business, which is why many new businesses fail. His mission is to combat this problem which is why he recently launched http://www.billionaireu.com which offers online courses for the low cost of $100 per year. Bartmann said, "I'm not making as much money as I did with my last company, but I'm having a lot more fun."
Bill Bartmann is a firm believer that failures are just detours that can be overcome with effort. He offers tips and advice on dusting yourself off and moving on. Bill Bartmann's story is proof that if he can do it, anyone can.

Tulsa, OK - Bill Bartmann is a self-made billionaire with quite a success story. Getting there takes hard work and determination; however, the secret is quite simple. During a recent interview, Bill Bartmann said, "One does not have to come from an affluent family to become rich and successful; any one who applies themselves can achieve success."
Bill Bartmann came from a family of 8 children. His parents were uneducated and worked low-wage jobs. He remembers moving quite often and times when his family was forced to leave their home because it was condemned. His background experience includes leaving home at the age of 14, joining a street gang, being part of a travelling carnival, dropping out of high school and being a teenage alcoholic. At the age of 17, he was seriously injured and told he would never walk again. Does this sound your typical aspiring billionaire?
According to Bill Bartmann, anyone can overcome life's obstacles and achieve success. With determination and will, Bartmann walked out of the hospital five months after being told he would never walk again. He built a fortune in the oil and gas business which went bankrupt when prices fell. He built another fortune in the debt collection business which failed when a partner embezzled money.
Bill Bartmann certainly understands the concept of risk and reward. Big risks can result in big pay-offs; they can also backfire and leave you bankrupt. Bill Bartmann has experienced both extremes.
Bill said, "It just shows that it is not your circumstances that make an individual wealthy. It's your mindset." Bill has shown that he can lose everything one day and rebuild it the next. Bill sums up his secret to success, saying, "All the successful people I have known in life have a high self-esteem and all the losers have a low self-esteem."
So, that is the secret, self-esteem. Though quite simple and perhaps disappointing, it is very profound. Bill explained, "You see, our self-image drives everything that we do and our self-image is inexorably linked to our self-esteem and self-confidence. Improve your self-esteem and improvements in your life will naturally follow."
Inspired by the events that defined his career, Bartmann is the founder of the Billionaire Business School for aspiring entrepreneurs.
