Looking to Save Money with the PA Electric Power Choice Supplier in PECO Energy Area?

Info on how to select a Pennsylvania Electric Supplier Switch. This information is for the PECO Energy Service Area. Selecting a electric supplier choice for your home or rental investment units in the Chester County, Main Line of Philadelphia, Delaware County, Montgomery County, Bucks County & city of Philadelphia areas. As a former engineer for Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO), I would like to provide you with some information that may help you with selecting your new electric generation supplier. Review the information below.

With the PA Electric Deregulation Power Choice there are 2 PECO electric rates for residential supply. The first is the RS - Residential Service Rate and the second is RH - Residential Heating Service Rate if you have electric heat/heat pump. Check your bill or call PECO to see which service rate you have for your home or investment property. Check out to see if your Service Rate has supplier's pricing for your rate on the Power Switch for Your PECO Service Options website: http://www.papowerswitch.com/shop-for-electricity/shop-for-your-home/by-distributor/peco-energy/

If you have the RS - Regular Residential Service Rate look at your last month bill for your KWh (kilowatt hours) usage on the bill to plug into the pricing calculator to determine your monthly costs compared to what they show for the PECO pricing to determine your savings for each supplier. You have options of a "Fixed Rate Pricing" or a "Variable Rate Pricing". if you like to know what your paying for electricity, then you may elect go with the Fixed Rate Pricing. I see some of the best pricing for Fixed Rate Electric Supplier Pricing is if you elect to go with the supplier on-line sign-up for service. Some of the suppliers are charging a "Cancellation Fee Penalty" or will charge you a "Upfront Fee" to be part of there supply. Click on the additional information to see if they are charging the "Cancellation Fee Penalty" or a "Upfront Fee" before you select the generation supplier. You may elect not to select a supplier with a cancellation fee or upfront fee. You may elect to call them to get a better understanding of their pricing and service.

For Variable Rate Pricing you should also click on the additional information or call them to get a better understanding of the variable pricing option with their company.

For the RH - Residential Heating Service Rate there is currently only one supplier with variable pricing available. At the time I looked at the pricing for this supplier its higher than the PECO pricing. You may want to check back weekly or monthly to see if the supplier pricing has changed.

Any information you receive you can cross check to see if the company is on the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) Power Switch website.
