I love to read books, whether fiction books or business books. I enjoy expanding my mind and my knowledge in a way that only books can bring. The biggest problem that I face is that I work so much, and when I'm finally at home I tend to take care of what I need to around the house and then head to bed. I sometimes get a few minutes of reading in before I turn the lights off, but that's usually it.
Several years ago, however, I discovered the beauty of books on tape, or books on CD. Most of the titles that I wanted to read were available on audio book format. The big problem there was that they were VERY expensive.
A solution was easily found - the local library! The Greenville County SC library system has thousands of audio books, and if they don't have something, it can usually be found on interlibrary loan.
I drive for many hours each week, so I use that time to do my reading. I try to go through a business book and a fiction book each month, unless I get an extremely long book.
Audio books don't have to be played in cars. You can download many books on i-tunes for your iPod. You can even take an audio book on CD and put it on an iPod.
Check out your local library and utilize all of that driving time to your advantage!
Simpsonville South Carolina is a great town. It's got many of the amenities of a large city, but it has a small town atmosphere. For instance, you can go down to Barefoot Annie's coffee shop on SE Main Street and enjoy a laid-back session with a local musician, or you can go walking on Main Street and look at the shops. Near the interstate, there's several major department stores, and everything in-between.
There are several nice parks in Simpsonville, including many sports fields (including the one I play ball at). Simpsonville Public Works does a great job of maintaining them, keeping them in top shape for everyone to enjoy.
Many great subdivisions lie in and around Simpsonville, with price ranges starting under 100,000 to a million. Just about anyone can find what they're looking for if they come to Simpsonville.
If you haven't experienced it for youself, try out the Town of Simpsonville, You'll enjoy it, and you may just decide to stick around a bit longer!
I have been working with a lot of clients whose houses are in pre-foreclosure. These homeowners need to sell immediately in order to avoid foreclosure. The one factor that makes or breaks a transaction nine out of ten times is the speed in which they contact me. If they contact me in the beginning of the foreclosure process, I can usually work some sort of deal out, whether it is a sale or a short-sale. If it's close to the time of the foreclosure auction, however, sometimes banks will not work with me.
The moral of this short blurb: Take action right away! There are solutions if you are behind in your payments!
Today was a fun day. My dad and I have a sort of tradition whenever I am home. We get in his truck, and head to local airports to wander around, look for interesting airplanes, and talk. We went to Tri-County airport near Erie, CO and saw a beautiful Stinson tail-dragger. We also drove around and looked at some properties that bordered the airport with their own private taxiways. Perhaps some day one of those houses will be mine!
Even if our talk only hovers around airplanes and everyday banter, that time is precious. My dad is 84. I treasure each moment! I think everyone should have some sort of time with the ones they love, no matter what it centers around.
