Well, here I go. My first blog entry. I signed up a couple of days ago and have been slow to take the next step. My motivation finally came from looking at a list of members that have never made an entry. You only get out what you put in, right? I've decided to put my best foot forward. Maybe this will influence another reluctant member to make their first entry. I joined Active Rain in order to get my name out in front of regional real estate agents and build new business referrals as well as reconnect with some old contacts and friends in the business. I'm sure I'll feel more comfortable with blogging as time goes on.
That said, I am a mortgage loan officer licensed in ME, MA, & NH. It seems that the majority of my cleints are fight time home buyers. About 80% of my clients close their home purchases with an FHA loan. FHA is really a great way for for first time home buyers go. With 3 1/2% vested downpayment, escrow start up funds, and closing cost, the buyers inital cashout investment is kept to a minimum
There are several types of FHA loans that offer different benefits to borrowers. Also, there is the USDA Rural Development loan that can be a fantastic product to use, providing the borrower meets the guidelines and the property is located in an approved area. I'll break these products down in future post.
I've reached the end of my first post and already feel more comfortable with the process. Plus I already know the topic of my next post.
Have a great day!
