Like most areas, Danbury, Connecticut homes sales have declined lately. Along with declining home values, we are also seeing declines in the number of homes actually selling. This graph shows the number of closed home sales in New Fairfield from the first half of 2000 (1H2000) through the first half of 2009 (1H2009).
Single Family Homes:

Condos in Danbury have also shown a weakening market, with fewer condo units being sold, as evidenced in the following graph:

As is apparent from the graph, we are seeing far fewer homes selling than we have in the past. While there appear to be indicators that the number of closed home sales may be about to begin increasing again, there is no indication that we will soon be going back to the high number of sales we have experienced in recent years.

As is indicated by the above graphs, median home sales prices for single family homes in Danbury are roughly back at those we saw in 2003. However, the median sales prices for condos in Danbury are back to their 2004 values.
