PAT JUDD JOINS ERA EVERGREEN REAL ESTATE COMPANY AS SALES EXECUTIVE AT DATAW ISLAND

November,2008 St. Helena Island, S.C. - Representatives from ERA Evergreen Real Estate Company today announced the addition of Pat Judd as a sales executive with the company. Her responsibilities include generating sales and marketing for ERA Evergreen Real Estate Company properties at Dataw Island and guiding purchasing decisions for prospective buyers.

A native of Bristol, Conn., Judd joins ERA Evergreen with more than 25 years of real estate sales experience. For the past eight years, she has dealt specifically with residential real estate sales in the South Carolina Lowcountry, producing more than $35 million in sales volume. Judd is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. A resident of Dataw Island for 10 years, Judd has also received numerous awards from previous employers, including silver award recognition for sales production in both 2003 and 2004.

DATAW ISLAND UNVEILS RENOVATED SECOND GREEN ON COTTON DIKE COURSE

Changes Result in Improved Playability for Tom Fazio-Designed Lowcountry Course

November 1, 2008, St. Helena Island, S.C. - Representatives from Dataw Island unveiled the majorly renovated second green of their Tom Fazio-designed Cotton Dike course. The renovation included the repositioning of the green slightly to the left of its previous location to provide better sunlight, building it to USGA specifications to improve drainage and playability, increasing the size and number of usable pin locations and contouring the surrounds for playability.

An $80,000 project, the renovation of the Cotton Dike's No. two green began in June and took three weeks for construction and 75 days of grass grown-in. The project was completed two weeks early, with the original completion time projected for early September. All renovations were monitored and conducted by Dataw Island director of golf maintenance Brian Hollingsworth.

Built in 1985, the course received its name from the system of dikes that were built 140 years ago by plantation owners on Dataw Island to increase the land area for growing Sea Island cotton, which was the staple crop of the period. These distinctive features are still visible today around the Cotton Dike course, with nearly half of the 18 holes lying along the pristine marsh waters of Jenkins Creek.
