Hi Ya'll !
Welcome and come on in !
Experience true southern hospitality and the feel of a "first class" second home
in the North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains.
It is my pleasure to welcome you home. Let me get the door for you...
Upon entering into this custom, hand crafted true British Columbia solid cedar log home, you will see the epicurean kitchen with rich granite countertops and classic black detailing plus custom cabinets.
Also, notice the petrified wood supporting the island. A work of art in and of itself!
As you tour this home, please watch for the custom detail throughout. There is so much to see. The British Columbia logs are all hand crafted, solid cedar. The gourmet kitchen is open to a large dining area and very spacious great room with panoramic views of the mountains in the near distance. Very large windows bringing the beautiful mountain landscape inside.
Notice the hand carvings of an eagle sitting atop and the wolf below.

Looking for the "WOW" factor ?
Enter into the impressive private master suite which has a stacked stone fireplace, office nook, tons of closet space plus separate his and her closets, master bath with granite countertops, custom tiled shower, oversized sitting area and huge windows all around to enjoy nature's artwork. Just outside the master suite is an open loft with exposed solid cedar columbian logs and an accent wall of natural tree bark. The loft overlooks the expansive dining area and great room. Simply stunning. "WOW" does not begin to describe it.

This home is loaded and there is so much to see that you must see it in person. With a huge finished basement which includes an extra bedroom, large bath, full kitchen with granite countertops, wine cooler, pool table, fireplace and walks out to a large stone floor covered patio with outside fireplace as shown below.

This quality, custom hand crafted log home sits along a rustic ridgeline and is under five mintues to downtown Blue Ridge and easy, easy access to Hwy. 515. The owner and builder is Ronald D. Coleman who has been building quality log homes in the Blue Ridge area for over 28 years. This development is brand new to Blue Ridge and will consist of some of the most unique, well designed homes in the area. Roads are paved and the backside of the ridge connects to the ever popular Aska adventure area.
See the hand crafted, custom log construction below:

Other features of this home include but there are just too many to list and picture it all:
Permission granted by Ronald C. Coleman to feature his custom built home.

North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains have many beautiful waterfalls throughout the northeast counties (Fannin, Union, Towns, Gilmer and Pickens). But I did not know about this waterfall near Hayesville (Clay County) North Carolina called Leatherwood Falls until very recently. My one regret is that the batteries in my camera were dead. But that's ok, because I do plan to visit the Falls again.
Leatherwood Falls are about twenty-five feet high and has a picnic area, metal walk bridge and a paved track along Fires Creek. The recreation area is beautiful and worth a a hike on the trail which wraps arount the Falls. Spend a day in the Appalachain Mountains and picnic at Leatherwood Falls. Kick back and relax and let the sound of the water wash your cares away.
Directions:
From Hayesville, on U.S. 64W, take NC 1301 northeast 3 miles to NC 1300. Then travel west 5.7 miles to FR 1344 (at Fire's Creek sign). Drive north 1.6 miles to Fires Creek parking area.
Other places to see:
Blairsville Georgia (Union County)
Copperhead Lodge (Union County)
Swan Drive-In (Fannin County)
Twin Cities (Fannin County Georgia, Polk County Tennessee)
Historic Downtown Blue Ridge (Fannin County)
North Georgia always in season

Towns County located in the North Georgia Mountains known for its beautiful mountains, streams, and waterfalls

The campus restaurant has been closed for months and Sharp Memorial Methodist Church opened their fellowship hall so meals could be prepared for faculty and staff while months of renovations and hard work was completed. The campus restaurant recently re-opened and approximately 500 people were treated to great meals at the all improved restaurant. Prior to the renovations, the dining hall looked more like an outdated hospital cafeteria. Alumni and faculty were impressed with the new state-of-the-art facility.
All the food is prepared in full view with salad, Italian, grill and other exhibition type stations. The dining area is clean and has a contemporary style. The menu offers a much healthier selection of food. Students can now enjoy various types of food throughout the day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Another great change is the restaurant is open to the Public! Dinner prices are $6.25, lunch is $5.50 and Sunday brunch is $7.35.
