Visit the old historic courthouse where BRMAA is located and tour the gallery with exhibits by local artists and members of the Southern Appalachian Guild. Artists will be demonstrating their extraordinary creations. Meander through the park and mingle in the quaint gift and antique shops that align Main Street. Take the kids for a fun, three hour ride on the Scenic Blue Ridge Train stopping over in McCaysville.

North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains have many beautiful waterfalls throughout the northeast counties (Fannin, Union, Towns, Gilmer and Pickens). But I did not know about this waterfall near Hayesville (Clay County) North Carolina called Leatherwood Falls until very recently. My one regret is that the batteries in my camera were dead. But that's ok, because I do plan to visit the Falls again.
Leatherwood Falls are about twenty-five feet high and has a picnic area, metal walk bridge and a paved track along Fires Creek. The recreation area is beautiful and worth a a hike on the trail which wraps arount the Falls. Spend a day in the Appalachain Mountains and picnic at Leatherwood Falls. Kick back and relax and let the sound of the water wash your cares away.
Directions:
From Hayesville, on U.S. 64W, take NC 1301 northeast 3 miles to NC 1300. Then travel west 5.7 miles to FR 1344 (at Fire's Creek sign). Drive north 1.6 miles to Fires Creek parking area.

The campus restaurant has been closed for months and Sharp Memorial Methodist Church opened their fellowship hall so meals could be prepared for faculty and staff while months of renovations and hard work was completed. The campus restaurant recently re-opened and approximately 500 people were treated to great meals at the all improved restaurant. Prior to the renovations, the dining hall looked more like an outdated hospital cafeteria. Alumni and faculty were impressed with the new state-of-the-art facility.
All the food is prepared in full view with salad, Italian, grill and other exhibition type stations. The dining area is clean and has a contemporary style. The menu offers a much healthier selection of food. Students can now enjoy various types of food throughout the day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Another great change is the restaurant is open to the Public! Dinner prices are $6.25, lunch is $5.50 and Sunday brunch is $7.35.

Nothing is more rewarding to me in my profession than to help families realize their dreams by assisting them with finding their dream home. Mr. Carrillo was looking for vacant lots for him and his wife and other family members. They wanted to relocate to Georgia and build their dream homes in the near future. We found three great lots very close to town and close to each other which will be conducive to their personal needs and future venture of starting a family business . A nice note from past clients Jill and Noel. I sold them a lot in a beautiful resort community in late 2007. Jill was expecting her second child at the time. They are a darling couple that Mr. Carrillo referred to me along with two other referrals. Summer and John are also another couple who purchased a lot through me in the same resort and have since built their dream home. It's always such a kick for me to hear from past clients about what's happening in their lives. Jill and Noel's two boys pictured at the right.
Our new year started off great - the baby, Andrew, came two weeks early on the 29th, and New Year's Day we came home from the hospital. It has been a great year so far! I know that Summer and John are very happy there. ...we hope your holidays were quiet and peaceful and full of family and loved ones. We will definitely keep your number handy for our future in Blue Ridge/Gilmer, as well as let others know! We've already talked to some of our friends here about contacting you. I had the great pleasure of meeting many new clients in 2007 and making new friends as a result. Barry, Jackie and Joshua are an exceptional family and it was a sheer joy for me to get to know them. They bought their mountain home with plans to relocate in the near future. They were my first sale for 2007 ! What a joy it was to assist them with their real estate needs. I received a beautiful Christmas card from them with their photo. They write:
