There are only 24 in a day. Everyone gets the same cut but what you do with it makes a difference. We are surrounded by time thieves and you probably will not be surprised that one of the biggest ones is an EMAIL.
What is the first thing you do in the morning (after certain necessities like ... drinking coffee, of course) or maybe getting behind your office desk? Admit it - you cannot wait to see who actually tries to get your attention in the cyberspace.
Email could be one of the biggest time wasters if not controlled by a little planning and a bit of organization.
So let's not waste any more time and apply these few simple steps to 'buy' you some extra time.
1. Set a limit how many times daily you will check your email - select 3 to 4 times. If possible do not keep your email open unless you expect something important. Otherwise you will en up an EMAIL SLAVE.
2. Set up a separate email accounts (Google, Yahoo, etc) for your personal use. By doing so you are not clogging your business email.
3. Set up folders - to save search time for a specific email and keep your letters, docs, recipes, etc all separate. This is an easy task in Outlook
4. To manage you emails (to store them automatically in an appropriate folder) - use FILTER/RULES and folder together:

How is your imagination? Can you turn the raw dirt look into something pretty? Do you know where to start and how to do it?
Landscaping ... it is an art in itself but also a very hard work.
A couple of years ago I met Jim Garrett from Tuttle Oklahoma. A very gifted lanscape designer and a great person to work with. Jim listens and listens to what you have in mind, to what you imagine the project to look like and then he asks a lot of questions and .... goes to work. First behind a drawing board. Schetches and drawings, cost breakdowns, choices, advise etc...
Jim is in the landscape business for over 17 years. He is an owner of the Natural Look Water Features and Swimming Pools in Tuttle, Oklahoma which is the suburb of Oklahoma City.
You can admire his work all over OKC metro. One of his projects is located in Yukon, Ok at the new house addition of River Mesa. The lates of his creations is located at the Norman Regional Hospital.
Need a reliable and talented landscaper who will take your project from A to Z?

We all love our four legged friends...and our hearts break when they get sick. Since we cannot talk with them it is so hard to guess what is wrong and what we can do about it.
But there IS a special kind of a person who actually is capable to 'speak' with them ... a VETERINARIAN.
For years my dogs and my friends horses were entrusted to Tony Epperson's care. Tony Epperson, DVM is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian. He has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost 30 years. Most of them in Canadian County. It takes a lot of special skills and expertise to treat sick animals. It reguires quick assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Tony Epperson has it all...
The West Yukon Animal Hospital is located on Main Street in Yukon, Oklahoma. The clinic is a friendly place with very helpful assistants. Every time when one of my animals needs help I can count on Tony to return my calls and take care of the problem.
It is not fun to be in the hospital and this goes for us people and animals...but there is someting about this place that puts me at ease and I believe it is the compassion and professionalism which Tony Epperson shows on daily basis.
And you know what? My hunting dog JOSEY and my little Dixie Lou can definitely testify to that.
So whenever your four legged friend needs medical help give Tony a call at: 405-354-1946

Remembering Ronald Reagan ....
This morning I read a little and came across this little tid bid of history...I thought I would share it with you all ...
In 1984, in an off-air radio voice check picked up by TV cameras, U.S. President Ronald Reagan joked, "My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes." The Kremlin wasn't amused.
He always had a great sense of humor...

Bo in Yukon
