POCONO SOLD DATA FOR JANUARY - Part 1

In presenting this data to you, please be patient. This is my first time working with charts to blog and it is not as easy as I had anticipated. I really thought I could just cut and paste my charts however it is not that simple so it looks like I will be presenting the data I would like the public to have in 3 separate blogs.

I'm starting with "Active Listings" first, residential homes data. This is a comparison of the active listings for Monroe County, January 2008 compared to January 2009. The next chart will be comparing the # of homes sold for the same time period and then chart three will be the avg. sold price for the same time period.

Hopefully it will not take me several hours to get the next chart to you. Thanks for your patience.

*The data presented is per Township in Monroe County. Data was obtained from flexmls.com on 3-10-09. All info is deemed reliable however I am not responsible for typographical errors.

Pocono real estate upswing?

It was a great weekend for showing homes. Everywhere I went there were lots of people and plenty of traffic. Felt like a three day Holiday weekend. Like last weekend.

I cannot help but wonder, is this a sign of an upswing in the real estate market here in the Poconos. The phones are ringing more often, more and more email inquiries are being received. Call me an optimist but I think this is a positive sign.

Today, even after a light snowfall which made the roads a tad slippery this morning, was a beautiful day. Especially once the sun started to peek through here and there. Not enough sun peeking for me however in the months of gloomy winter I will take whatever sun peeks I can get.

So back to my point, plenty of people around meant people were spending. Hopefully this will help everyone in the area and you too!
