A Bio from the Owner...

As a young girl, I was always told you should leave a place cleaner than you found it- particularly when enjoying outdoor activities. In college , my first taste of an organic tomato was a revelation that spurred me toward creating a more organic lifestyle for myself.. As I began my subsequent studies in Interior Architecture and Design, it seemed an obvious choice to combine my love of organics and concern for the welfare of the planet and its inhabitants with beautiful, useful interior spaces. I moved to New Hampshire in late 2003 and bought my first house (which needs a lot of renovations!) I realized then that there was a need in Northern New England for a store that made it easy, and affordable for people to get green options for their homes. After nearly a year of searching for the best products and distributors, Your Home, Your World opened in November 2006. It is my goal to offer products that help to lessen our negative impact on the planet, help other people, who aren't as fortunate as we are, to live happier, healthier lives, and help to create spaces that are healthier for the inhabitants.

Your Home, Your World is an independently owned and operated store. I run it with the help of wonderful assistants, which some days include my husband Matthew and Boston Terrier Oliver.

Stop in for lunch and try any of their specials offered daily or build your own. All their sandwiches made with Boars Head Meat on hearty breads or wraps. Looking for something light try their homeade soup or quiche.

Need something for a meeting or a get together. Capital Caters! They do breakfast platters with an assortment of fresh baked muffins, bagels, scones and pastries garnished with fresh starwberries. Fruit platter or salads are a popular side with breakfast or lunch. As for lunch meetings they do a nice meat and cheese platter presentation or a variety of sandwiches and wrap platter. For more individual lunches they will make up filling box lunches which include a sandwich, bag of chips, pickle, cookie and a piece of friut. The best part is, they will deliver anywhere in concord for NO charge!

There are some awesome events that go on every year in downtown Concord. One of the big ones is an event called market days, It takes place July 15,16,17 in the heart of downtown Concord on main street. The main steet drag is closed to vehicles where people can freely walk around and enjoy the festivities. They have bands that play and there are street vendors up and down the street that provide food and shopping for all.

Another great event is the Halloween Howl that take play on main steet the road is closed down and
There is trick or treat for the kids, Live music, crafting and also a horse drawn wagon ride and a whole lot more. This all takes place Friday October 30th at 5 pm on main street in downtown Concord.

The last big event of the year on main steet is the Midnight Merriment taking place on December 3rd The road is closed down and there is shopping and music also ice sculptures and sleigh rides fun for the whole family on main street in down town Concord.

A Little Confection is a local chocolate business that has been making handmade chocolate's on main st for about 2 yrs. Audrey is the owner and she has been a chocolatier going on 12yrs. Not only do they make chocolate's but one of their specialties is Caramel Apples with a wide variety of dips for these apples on a stick like Chocolate Lover's Dream a Granny Smith apple dipped in a homemade kettle caramel, rolled in chocolate jimmies and mini chocolate chips, and then drizzled with the finest milk chocolate or Apple Pie On A Stick they dunk a giant Granny Smith apple with homemade kettle caramel, then dip it in their exquisite white chocolate and roll it in a combination of brown sugar and cinnamon. It's so good that one bite will remind you of grandma's apple pie.

These guys make all kinds of other goodies like there Fudge, Cookies and their Award winning Caramel Popcorn in which they won 2009 Best of New Hampshire.
