Bethany Beach is the best place to vacation ever!!!

Are you looking for that perfect <a href="http://www.viscape.com/property_searches/new?property_search%5Baddress%5D=Bethany+Beach%2C+DE%2C+USA>Bethany Beach Vacation Home </a>? Well you should probably learn a little more about the gorgeous beach town. As you exit Dewey Beach and drive south on Route 1, the beach houses seem to grow increasingly larger and the air notably quieter. A giant totem pole, depicting a Nanticoke Indian chief, appears before your eyes as you enter Bethany Beach and then it hits you-you're in beach suburbia. Bethany Beach, ten miles south of Dewey, is the absolute antidote to a Dewey hangover. It's peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Get a bushel of crabs and spread out some newspapers on the deck. Dinner's ready! Fenwick Island, just south of Bethany, has a quaint New England charm and several cozy restaurants in sharp contrast to the party scene just a couple of miles north. The focus in both Bethany and Fenwick is on families and activities geared towards the kiddos. Bring the brood on down to Salisbury Zoological Park for monkey, bird and otter spotting. Check out 17th, 18th and 19th-century artifacts from shipwrecks at the DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum on Fenwick Island. Rent a kayak and explore the shoreline of the island and the marshlands that spill in to Little Assawoman Bay. Also check out the vast dunes that curve down to the deep blue Atlantic. This is Cape Henlopen's main attraction, but the park also offers great hiking and biking. Explore the park along the three-mile-long paved trail that loops the park, and then go for a dip in the ocean. Two beaches provide lifeguard patrols between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day and there are umbrellas for rent. Also check out the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. This great slice of Bethany Beach dates back to 1873 and is one of the oldest Atlantic Coast boardwalks. Storms have slightly altered the configuration of the boardwalk over the years, as have new developments, such as the arrival of the railway. The main entry point of the one-mile long, present-day boardwalk is at the east end of Rehoboth Avenue, the town's main street. Made of wood, it's one of the last wooden boardwalks on the East Coast. Souvenir shops and snack bars offering taffy, funnel cakes, custard and other goodies line the boardwalk. Most of the town's restaurants and nightspots are found around Rehoboth Avenue. But whatever you do, come down to Dewey Beach...You'll be glad you did!
