LEAD GENERATION - There's a philosophy that says.........You will complete at least 36 transactions a year...IF...You lead generate three hours a day! Don't confuse Lead Generation with Advertising. They are not the same thing! Contact Your Sphere of Influence and others that might be in the market to sell a home. (Copied and pasted from David Patterson's comment below)

Attitude is everything - Stay positive! Beware of the negative attitudes in the office and distance yourself from them at all costs.

Price your listings to Sell! Period. Sellers are depending on our expertise.

Educate your buyers and help them make a smart real estate decision. Now is the time for buyers to buy!!!

Look at your business expenses and make sure they make "cents". I've already made some changes for 2009.

Advertising - do more of what is working, and less of what isn't. As a matter of fact, stop doing what isn't working.

In our weekly sales meeting recently, my broker went around the table and asked each of us how many listings we currently have. Then he went around the table again and asked each of us how many of our listings will sell this year. Needless to say, it got us all worked up and we had an extra long meeting that day.

I spent the next few days doing current market analysis on each and every one of my 38 listings. I got 12 price reductions, cancelled 5, and have a different answer for next week.
